I had been getting new muscular pains that were taking over my life. Felt like new injuries and I didn’t know why . Started taking liquid Vit D3 amd saw huge improvement. A special side note! My primary dr said I just needed 800IU/ daily. I have a naturopath doctor and she said no take about 4,000IU a day and that when I felt a huge difference. Of course after 8 weeks I will be testing my Vit D levels !

I'm 27. Ever since I was 13, I've had extremely debilitating shin splints. It was so painful to run or jump. Simple exercises like jumping jacks were not an option for me. I've also gotten sick more than other people normally do all my life. Looking back, I didn't spend much time outside and didnt get much sunlight. Let me tell you, after I started taking 5,000 IU a day of vitamin d3, along with a calcium supplement, my shin splints went away almost completely. After a few more weeks, they had vanished. They never came back because I keep taking my vitamin D3 and Calcium every day. I also used to have joint pain, particularly in my knees. That's gone too. I never thought 20 dollars worth of vitamins from Walmart would have improved my quality of life so much.

I had blood tests recently and was prescribed a vitamin D3 and calcium supplement. I had no idea I was lacking in either. I started taking them 5 weeks ago, not thinking much of it and my energy and brighter mood have increased so much! I've suffered with moderate depression, on and off for years and low energy the past few years (I'm 40) and I'm shocked how different I'm feeling at the moment. I've gone on to buy my own supplements now and I wouldn't want to be without them!

Must have a better Dr. than me. I have deficiencies in B12, folic acid and severe deficiencies it D3 and my doctor said I was normal. I am right above the 300 range in vitamin D, which is the lowest i should be and she thinks that’s OK. I have left her practice because all she wants to do is throw drugs at problems and when I try to discuss these kinds of things, her eyes roll back into her head. I can’t believe how wonderful KZbin is in what great doctors are here to help us with these problems. Thank you thank you for all your help. I am convinced now that my lower back pain, muscle problems and hair loss are associated with my vitamin deficiencies. ☀️🪴♥️

I have the exact same symptoms! I sweat in the winter when it's snowing, and when I'm in air conditioning. Plus, my hair is so thin and I have bald patches, and I had my levels checked and they were low. So I need to get in the sun more, and my doctor prescribed a blue gel pill I have to take once a week. Oh, I'm 39, and I started losing my hair at 35-36. I thought it was because I stopped taking my birth control pills, and went on an IUD. So who really knows what's causing all these things? I hope it's as easy as getting more vitamin D!

At my last physical, I got diagnosed with a Vitamin D deficiency. My doctor wrote me a prescription for Vitamin D pills (5,000 ICU), though you can buy those over-the-counter. I did notice that it helped my mood, though I'm also taking Zoloft at the moment to help with that. My parents also take Vitamin D supplements. In fact, their doctor told them that people in the Midwestern United States (we live in Ohio) have a high tendency to have Vitamin D deficiencies. So, if you live in the Midwest, you might want to get checked for this.

Just curious, did you find that you had chronic neck pain/fatigue or headaches or really that you could barely keep your head up? I got my blood taken and I was at a 22- normal range 30-40 and the doctor ordered another retest off my vitamins for a month. Still waiting on the results but knowing I’m slightly deficient I’m wondering if others have similar symptoms. I’m hoping the fatigue is because of the severe lack of vitamin d.

The effects of these steps are that :- 1. I don't feel general weakness anymore. 2. I have surplus energy, even though it's time to sleep, I feel like I can run a marathon. 3. My body's endurance has increased a lot, even though I don't even exercise at all, I can lift heavier than I could before for a longer time. Do you have vitamin D deficiency as well?
@shubhamsurana6538
@shubhamsurana6538 5 жыл бұрын
@Ash Rav I took Vitamin D3 capsules of 6000 IU, it's a measurement of how much vitamin D 3 there is in a capsule. I would suggest to consult a doctor who will better understand your condition and how serious it is. A vitamin D 3 test cost me just about ₹150, I guess. It would be better to consult a doctor first. I'm from India too.

Mandee Blain - you can get a blood test from the Dr that measures how much vitamin D is in your system. Ask your Dr to get the test done so you will know for sure. My blood tests showed a level of 2 of Vitamin D instead of the normal levels of 20 - 50. But my symptoms were slightly different. I felt "wired" all the time, and could virtually not sleep at all, consequently, I didn't or couldn't dream, so those one or two hours of sleep didn't feel like sleep. I couldn't tolerate the sun at all - even in an air-conditioned car, if the sun shone in through the windows, I would feel faint and nauseous. So I could only go outside in the morning or evening. I do identify with the constant sweating! I felt as if I was moving underwater, against a constant stream. My normal patience deserted me. My teeth became very painful and sensitive - I couldn't even rest my tongue up against them or clean them unless I used a baby brush. My vision was also affected - I couldn't drive anymore. I was eventually diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and now take a mega dose of Vitamin D every week. Although my sleep is still very poor, I do dream again at last, and that makes me feel more normal!

That's because vitamin D deficiency does NOT cause fibromyalgia! It can only exacerbate it. I've been taking vitamin D for 30 years to lessen my fibromyalgia symptoms. But I've not had a vitamin D deficiency in those 30 years. If you think vitamin D cured your fibro, that's great. Sometimes freakish things happen like that! But vitamin D is absolutely NOT a cure for it. I wish it were! But one of my specialists told me that myofascial pain syndrome is often misdiagnosed as fibromyalgia as the symptoms are simila & some overlap.

This is almost all fine and factual. The problem with the suggestions in this video is that 1. you CAN'T get vitamin D if you apply sunscreen on your skin and that 2. you would have to eat a ton of D vitamin rich food in order to receive the amount you normally get when exposed to the sun for 20 min between 11:00 and 16:00 from April to the end of September roughly at the latitude where central Europe is. Another common missconception is that you can get vitamin D in winter time if you are exposed to the sun. Only true for latitudes around the equator, further to the South and to the North you go the less D vitamin you get in winter season. Central Europe does not have D vitamin from October to the end of March due to the particular sun's rays needed to produce D vitamin in our body not being strong enough to do so in that time.

You're very right about this. But European Green Clay which comes from the Health stores or online helps you ingest vit D which is available in salmon and many other kinds of fish as well as egg yolks. I don't know if that helps, every time I get off the green clay my vitamin D drops to eight or lower as long as I'm on the Clay it stays closer to 16 or more and my pain goes away.

I recently had a blood test which revealed very low levels of fit D,which I'm hoping is the cause of the chronic pain in my neck and shoulders,and the wierdest bit about all this is I was outside in the sun this summer(which here in the uk was a good summer)for hrs and still had this diagnosis.My Dr told me that they are finding this in a lot of people and even rickets is making a comeback.I've also seen evidence supporting 30%percent global dimming(which is a fact,just research it)and can't help seeing a connection,so I would advise everyone get tested for fit D .Thankyou

I have learned that if you live above the state of Georgia, you do not get enough vitamin D no matter how long you are outside. My doctor put me on vitamin D3 2000 international units that I take daily. I also have bipolar and depression and it is helped it greatly 🌞

I was diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency. I could not believe it, albeit I checked all the symptoms. it took a great tool on my bones, ligaments, immunity and mood. I took supplements all my life but vitamin D. first thing i noticed after begin the treatment, i stop smoking really easy, which vouches for better mood and positivity, other than it’s too soon to notice any betterment on the osteoporosis issue but i feel a lot more capable and strong.

Would help if you specified D, D2, or D3. I've only heard of D3 plus K2 combo to get the calcium where it belongs. Also assume the D3 in this combo would help with the deficiency symptoms mentioned in this video.

I'm not quite sure about K, but my doctor prescribed D3. D3 is animal based, D2 is plant based. Both are better than nothing, but D3 has the animal oils and minerals, I believe?

I experience all these symptoms! And went to the doctor and explained all these symptoms my doctor ordered for labs to be drawn. And sure enough my Vitamin D was low! she prescribed vitamin D, as well as new cholesterol medication and dosage. So it was effecting me and my cholesterol levels, since I was diagnosed several years ago with high cholesterol. So always go to a doctor and get your labs drawn!

Fibromyalgia isn't caused by vitamin D deficiency, but lack of vitamin D can compound the pain (and fatigue).

@Abubakr #Apostate I respect your view ..I have read some recent studies as well as some doctors and scientists said that vitamin d is low in body due to acidic or inflammatory environment in the body....so lower vitamin d is not the cause but the result of inflammation in the body...so question what is causing that in the body we need look for identifying that cause or disease... I totally respect your view but in many fb groups of vitamin d ...many are taking these pills for six yrs and still their symptoms are as it is...no improvement at all....then some drs say you should take magnesium mk7 and magnesium with vitamin d...so I believe its nothing but big business ...I never heard from my father or grand parents...there never heard such deficiencies and so on...so it might be business trend

It's also very easy to have a reaction to Vit D. It doesn't take much to be over your personal limit. It can cause a lot of upsetting symptoms, especially extreme itching and rash. Cutting back to a lower dose will help this. Also spreading out the dosage instead of taking a large amount all at once. I've personally discovered both, and helped a friend having the same problem realize what was happening to him. Too much too fast. Y

About to get my friend on some 5,000u Vitamin D, I was concerned not for his overall health, but as well as his mental and sleep as he lost his job last year. Convinced him to start going to the Gym for the first time in his life. I suspect he also has some Vitamin deficiency effecting him as well.
