If you part your hair in the middle and then cut your hair, you will be able to flip your part without experiencing the longer pieces. You have inspired me to cut my waist length dreads. They’ve gotten heavy despite some great detox treatments. And it looks so good on you!

Thanks for sharing! To reduce the frayed ends, whenever you cut/trim locs, do it on an angle rather than a blunt cut straight across. That keeps them from unraveling at the ends. This grown out bob looks great on you!

I recently cut my locks as well and cut them after eight years they were past my bra. I’m in the grieving stage still I have days where I feel beautiful and I’m loving the new cutting style, but I also have days of like damn, I wish I didn’t do that, but like someone else putting in the comments, it is here and it will grow. I remember when I was a baldhead Betty starting my journey and I’m anxious. I was to even see any type of shake it so I’m just trying to stay positive and I’m definitely staying up on my hair appointment. More than I did. Moisturizing is definitely the key.

The postpartum hair loss definitely need to be talked about more when it comes to locs. I lost all my edges.

For the Unraveling you can just get a Crochet hook. Do the same technique you do for instant locs. Check out the how to make the ends rounded. You need to do all your Locs like this. Then you won't have the Open ends.

When this popped up and I looked down at the pic with the glasses and was like why is Holly Robinson in my recommendations 😁to me they are gorgeous either way Queen

You can seal the ends with a crochet needle. Use the same one you used when you attached your loc extensions.

your moisture game needs to be on point and little to no colouring would be good too to build a strong foundation for healthy locs …….. regardless if you cut your locs - they are low maintenance and I can attest to that. I’ve have mines for 8 yrs…. If you’re doing more to your locs like styling, colouring and frequent retwist then it can become high maintenance for you which will lead to breakage. ….just leave your locs alone and the blunt ends will seal themselves maybe in a month or two……enjoy the process.

I’m sorry, but I’m not giving up orange, I mean I may go back to a very dark green that almost looked black but I doubt I’d ever go back to my natural hair color but everything else is correct but it all depends on what you do it.

She cut her locs because of color damage but turned around & use color again colored hair needs moisture if you aren’t going to condition your locs don’t color & conditioner doesn’t cause buildup the person’s impatience to make sure it is all rinsed out does I color my locs with a vegan dye once a year I condition after every wash & no I don’t have buildup I have my braidlocs now for 3 years coming January

@@fatimamanneh9432 tbh I didn’t think braided locs get any build up because of how tiny they are but 🤷🏾♀️ I guess so. I do the same but I actually add my color (adore which is also vegan) to my conditioner in an applicator bottle but I don’t use it all the time but definitely more than within the year since the orange fades quickly depending on how strong the shampoo is use is. I don’t think I’m impatient most of the time, sometimes I can be ,I just don’t see the conditioner unless I look really closely because my ends run clear by the end or a scrunch my hair and notice it.

Hi There! I just discovered your videos and I binge watched your older videos. When i saw this video was uploaded two weeks ago, my jaws dropped. Can't believe you cut them off! But man-o-man you are a beautiful lady and all locs look good on you. Love your energy! I installed microlocs on October 10 2021... I'm about three weeks in. I can't believe how much I love my infant locs! I already know I'm gonna love this journey. Looking forward to joining you on this journey.

Girl thank you for this video! I do appreciate it. I have just above bra strap length locs right now and I haven’t done anything to them since 12/30 and I don’t get it done regularly. I have an appointment to get a bob on 3/15 and you’ve shown me ok girl gotta keep it up! The whole point of me starting locs was so I wouldn’t look crazy. 😂😂😂😂

My locs look like a bob and I don't want it any longer. I'm older and have a lot of gray. I want to color the gray to more of a silver so that it will have more punch, jazz it up.

Another thing to learn is not cutting the loc straight across but at an angle, this prevents blunt and frizzy ends 😊 I want to trim the back of mine so am watching videos on how to do it properly

My love were long past my bottom. I also cut it into a loc bob. I also miss my long hair but hair grows back. I had hair added to my hair which grew out. It was at the end of my hair and making my hair heavy. The loc bob was nice but I’m also growing it back.

Y’all I need help! I’m two years into my journey and I love my hair. But my crown locs are thinning and some have fell out. Ima be honest I play in my hair a lot cause I like touching them (still not use to long hair) and I get anxious sometimes. It’s 2nd nature unfortunately. What do I do from here? Do I start over, get extensions, try a repair treatment, combine them? Help a brother out yall lol.
