There's doctors who have written multiple books on the 800cal diet. It is very safe to do as long as you've no underlying health problems and only do it for a maximum of 6 weeks.

How to get severely sick and possibly die: Please CONSULT A PROFESSIONAL! An average woman needs 2000 calories and a man needs 2500 calories per day. If you guys want to lose weight it will take some time. Do intermittent fasting (don’t eat for 16 hours, only drink zero calorie drinks like water or coffee). Do some light exercises as well.
