I’ve been watching John’s work for years. I had no idea this happened. In the first couple minutes I was like holy shit I feel so bad; but true to self, he did what he does and it “melted away” like nothing ever happened. Then I immediately heard his cadence and it was like hearing “we gotta go girl” for the first time again. John I’m not sure if you read these, but I hear and see so much of myself and my peers in you, you always were and always will be one of my favorites and thank you for your wit, balls, and perseverance. John Heffron made me laugh out loud SO many times!!!! I teach at a college and have to explain that all I have is a landline. I then have to explain what a land line is. I'm just going to say this which is a two-part statement 1. Mainstream comedians that have a certain level of presence I feel some of them kind of give up and just softball a special. Both Anthony jeselnik and Dimitri Martin, although it's more in the case in the latter. Also people like Ali Wong and Amy Schumer. 2. I wouldn't say he's better than 75% of comedians because a few years ago when I first started listening to stand up seriously I went through all the mainstream comics. Most of them are pretty good and you probably haven't listened to most of the sets of them anyways. There is honestly a plethora of talent though when it comes to underground comics and I love watching their sets. Only because now that we're entering a new generation there's skits on things that haven't been done before or things that people can only talk about now that we're in this time.

Yes, my dad had it one time too. Just like John, he was told it was probably from stress. It looked SO weird though! And we were all super worried and thought that maybe he had a tumor or something even more serious. It was scary at first, and we were happy that Bell’s Palsey was all it was, and it went away in time.
