Spent 8 years in. Best modification for that pack is the dustbin of history and upgrading to a ‘64.

Great pack, does it's job well but the shoulder straps just kill my shoulders. Not enough padding, and the waist strap is a dog's dick. Great video. Really nice upgrades.

I've switched over the the CP gear waist belt for that reason

swap the straps for ALICE straps and swap the belt out for a 1982 pattern web belt
