The official switch pro controller, wireless, has almost 13ms more latency than the joycons which is pretty bad. In-game characters feel a little less responsive and heavier because of it….now I’m back to those ergonomically fucked joycons. What’s even more hysterical is that pro controller has even more lag when used with a USB cable. Figure that one out. I was hoping that this 8bitdo Pro 2 wired controller might have less latency than the official pro but I doubt that’s the case

I'm using it on a high refresh fast monitor with pc , both together is the closest thing I found be similar to CRT TV gaming on speed. When the cable is natively soldered to the Printed Circuit Board I believe that's what makes a big difference. Hey, i have ordered Xbox version, here are my thoughts: - If you take a look of dimensions/weight its nearly same size as Dualshock 4 although its a bit deeper - The face buttons have more travel but they are responsive although its noisier if you compare to DS4 and DS5 - The d-pad is pretty accurate and a bit rough/rigid, that rigidness helps me to have cleaner inputs for 2D fighting games but meanwhile it slows me down in comparison of Dualshock 4 d-pad which is more wobbly and softer, anyway major downside for me: its size, its too small, i dont have large land at all but that small size does affect me, i cant perform combo from crouching position very well - The bumpers are quite long and dont have much travel, i d prefer those from DS4 - The triggers are quite similar but if you pay more attention, the bottom out is more dampened, also be aware, you need to push harder until to reach the bottom out of travel, i tested it in the sotware, if i push enough strenght, it doesnt go to 100% but rather between 85/95%, for fighting games, it shouldnt be an issue but for fps games, i ve heard it could be problematic - The face button and all button overall are closer to each others, i would prefer more space between them, besides, they are rather small - In general, despite of same size as Dualshock 4, in hands, i feel a bit uncomfortable, a bit narrow. - I dont have the wireless version, macros arent avail anyway but i remap shortcuts to the paddles, i think its ok safe for shortcut like activation of v-trigger in SFV or something like this, but for more complicated commands like performing combo, i found the placement of paddles quite difficult to reach. Maybe time will tell in order to get used it Overall its a good controller but for large hands, i dont recommend it, my best controller for 2D fighting games like Street Fighter V or Guilty Gear Strive is still the undefeated Dualshock 4 (personal own preference) I also know people who love that small d-pad size, all comes to personal preference anyway, great review by the way EDIT: for the latency, i can confirm, i have no issue or whatsoever (my regular pad is DS4 which has the least of latency among all controller)

I didn't test latency, but by feel there's a difference like night and day between blutoof and wired. BT is laggy and feels unresponsive - even missing inputs occasionally. I don't know whether there's a problem with my device (S10+) but I don't think so. BT generally isn't very suited for critical real-time applications. Haven't tested on other systems. Wired however, it's an absolute blast and as fast and responsive as you could want. Together with its good haptic response you just smash through levels of fast action platformers like Dead Cells and the likes, where microtiming and precision is everything. Great ergonomics too, fits the hand just like older PS controllers or even a bit better. No fatigue even after hours, at least for me.

Just now tested my M30 with the USB-C "normal" female to C male connection (I had tested wired and bluetooth last night). The timings showed less three-digit decimals than wired, whereas bluetooth was riddled with mottled 3-digit readings, both of these among four and five-digit readings. @@chocolaa-p2689 same here! Fits perfectly. Awesome controller over all. The controller felt a bit weird at first - joysticks and triggers. Had some trouble updating the software but when I eventually got it done (with som help from the support team) the joysticks dead zones and triggers work super smooth, no complaint!

I do have the Xbox version, the original SN30 Pro (the one without the grips) which I just sold for the Pro 2, I love them all! Now I'm interested on the soon to be released Xbox one that it will be coming out late May this year

I'm suddenly Imagining that they'll make a pro 3 with the design from the 8bitdo ultimate wired xbox controller in the future whether with the playstation or xbox layout depending of which.

even my cheap ass gamesir t3 has 260 hz polling rate, i dont see why these semi- premium 8bitdo controllers shouldnt all have 260 hz polling? what a fail, the Gulikit Kingkong2 has 100 polling rate, lmfao.
