Do you by any chance have "Retro scan universal mark-ii" software? I don't know where to download it, but I collect such utilities to compare the possibilities. I am still looking for the optimal solution for organizing scanned material (well, and the convenience of scanning itself, because sometimes you scan separate pieces of film).

No, don’t have that software and even if I did, it’s rare customers would be willing to pay for the time to restore.

The perforation is damaged only on one side. The film can be digitized in the opposite direction, and then reversed on the computer. The topic of "will the film come out in front or not" is familiar to me since childhood and this is one of the reasons why I do not like machines with automatic film loading. If I cannot make out the name on the media, I send a photo of the media to the client on WhatsApp and ask him to decipher it. Also, I do not understand how it is possible to mix up the material and give someone else's video to the client. The client's phone number in my phone, the package with the client's media, the working folder on the computer and the folder in the cloud are signed with the order number. The digitizer, who thinks that "I just do this on the side, and I have very few orders to organize a complex system" simply does not understand that a small number can grow into a large one. And creating a system as orders come in will not only be unusual (the early design of the work quickly "fixes"), but there is simply no time to avoid missing deadlines. That's why I organize everything in advance, and this has saved me more than once. Plus, at those moments when there are not so many orders, the current system needs to be intensively improved taking into account the experience of processing a large number of orders.

All well said and many different options to capture the film frames but the massive question, is the customer willing to pay for the time and 99.8% of the time, the answer is a hard no.
