Yes, I strongly feel that Timothy and Tracy did make very serious, traumatizing decisions, to "The Boy" . The response to the court, in which "The Boy" read his letter, for all to hear, was very articulate & painful to hear. If I could read lips, I would state that the father, "Timothy" actually cursed under his breath. Timothy could barely contain his anger & showed ZERO remorse for his actions towards "The Boy". However, at the same time, I do hope that both parents experience "incarceration justice ⚖️"!! Not only the jail time, but also the no contact order for all of the children, until they're 18 & consenting adults. I hope that both parents take this time to reflect on their own mental illnesses in how they raised their children.

I had a child with ODD. I never locked him up or treated him the way the Ferriter's did. However, the boy was very manipulative when he testified. He also sounded like he either looked things up online or was coached to say what he did. I don't think the parents should go to jail. They should have been helped with the boy by social services. They needed parenting ideas that would help them. Dealing with a child with ODD is quite difficult. The only reason I knew what to do is because of my degree and because I had a good psychiatrist for him to go to.
@aritter664 ай бұрын
If you are a parent how can you not think they deserved jail time for locking that boy in a tiny room? I'll agree the boys testimony didn't sound natural and lots of teenagers can be manipulative and lie ("the way you know is when their mouths move" - judge Judy) but anyone that is not sick themselves would know confining and depriving one child especially when other children in the same house are receiving better treatment is cruel and unusual. The father got off easy with 5 years. The onus was on the parents to do better.
