i go to a greek school and we have a greek night one night every year where every student and class (K-12) preforms a different song or classic dance , we turn the whole school campus into a greek village every little detail down to the food, desserts, and paintings. It is an amazing experience and we love practicing and learning these new greek dances and another level of the language every year. GO OWLS!!! 💙

There is the phrase of the Greek philosopher Plato (Πλάτων), which is the definition of the Greek way of life.. "Ου το ζην περί πλείστου ποιητέον, αλλά το ευ ζην" (Αυτό που αξίζει, δεν είναι να ζεις για να αποκτήσεις περισσότερα, αλλά να ζεις καλά), which means "What it is worth, is not to live to get more, but to live well". I am Greek and a teacher in High school,I teach literature,so I already know the value of my language! Unfortunately most of the Greeks, from kids to adults, have no clue about the importance and value of their own language and it really makes me sad! So, when I make others understand how beautiful language it is and how enriched vocabulary we have and they begin to learn happily and full with curiosity, that's my reward!I feel content!😊 Μακάρι να έβλεπα κάποιον Έλληνα να έκανε ένα βίντεο όπως το δικό σου! Μπράβο σου! Συγχαρητήρια! Δυστυχώς, μόνο ξένους βλέπω να ενδιαφέρονται για τη γλώσσα μας τόσο, που να ανεβάζουν βίντεο για την ελληνική γλώσσα! Το έχω ζήσει κι αυτό! I'm extremely happy that they actually said true facts such as Greek being the oldest language in the world, unlike many others who claim its not because of Egyptian etc. Absolutely NOT true. Well, Greece is even older than what they said but that's fine. I'm quite happy for the fact that they said that LATIN comes from the Greek language and NOT the opposite. Trully, an actually worth watching educative video. Really enjoyable too. Ευχαριστώ (she said ennea but in the video she wrote ennia which was kinda cute. We use both, ennea is more polite I guess.)
