Just found this. Very helpful. Just did the iacv. Now doing the high iacv. Have a 1998 Honda prelude , was having idle , bucking and surging issues. After I clened the iacv running good gonna do the whole deal. I have those caps just can't find them. I'm 70 retied , also own a 20p6 subaru sti. Paz y salud

I ended up drilling the old ones out and using npt tap and brass plugs. So far so good. Easy

Great video of EGR Valve, ports, etc. Just interested in how many mile are on that vehicle? My '93 has 214,000. Hope I can get by just doing the EGR valve without doing the ports, but glad to have the extra info.

I’ll recommend using a pneumatic air gun to blow on them holes. Best of luck 👌🏼

Nice video, most don’t show the drill and extract process. Got lucky with using wood screws but glad it worked for you. Doing my 2000 prelude which is the same setup. Valve port plugs are tough to find right now and had to pay premium on eBay but no other choice.

Good content. Looking to do this too . But my problem is theres no check engine light but as i get up to speed my throttle gets in this hesitation mode.

j mac I was start by checking the check engine light if you have one. If not, it’ll be various things to be looking at.

Ive been going through different things so far. Swapped out the distributor, disconnected the egr valve, replaced the tps, checked the fuel pressure, replaced the fuel filter and now i figured id clean the egr passageways. If that doesnt help then its drop the fuel tank and check the strainer

you just need to put the gasket without holes. no problem with egr.

Wtf??!! Why are you drilling into your intake? This surely isn’t a good way to solve any idling issues you have?!

my screws barely penetrate the plugs, what material screws are you using? i’m using stainless steel

Just regular construction screws. Self Tapping screws will do the trick though if you’re struggling.
