Hi good video question replace a rack and pinion it someone do it wrong it can make the power steering fluid go into the transmission and get mixed that’s the problem I I’m having on my Honda accord 1993

The only way that could happen is if they hooked the transmission line to the power steering line. I would check to be sure that someone did not hook them together.

Is it possible you put lucas power steering stop leak In your system? It looks red like atf

Do you happen to know if this is the same process for a 1989 model accord? The rack looks about the same just wondering if this is the same procedure

I just looked at the removal procedure and it looks to be identical actually so you should be good to use this video as a reference.

After a year hows the rack holding up? I dont see very good reviews for the cardone rack for the accords thats why im asking

So the cardone one has held up good for this car. It has not experienced any leaks, groaning, or anything since installing it.

This one was leaking through the seals on the rack. Plus the gears were getting worn and had a lot of movement in them
