I am Chalfant and welcome to Chalfant TV!
I am not your typical BTS reactor. I dive DEEP into BTS's music and lifestyle have discussions with YOU during my videos. I bring a great deal of life experience, including my experience in education as a teacher and elementary school principal, into all of my reactions and discussions.
Rather than just privately listening to their music on my own, I’d rather share the entire process with YOU! The goal here is to continue diving deeper into the BTS rabbit hole and learn new insights! Your recommendations are welcomed!
Looking forward to this journey with you all.

Suga is possibly the member I mostly relate to in terms of personality as I have struggled with mental health as well. So he holds a special place in my heart and he is my bias wrecker no 1. Also the fact he collaborated with one of my favorite artist of all time, IU, just makes him more special to me Love and support 💜💜

Your comment about the future of your channel....Our fandom has such a high percentage of young people. I don’t know if it’s a generational thing but from my observations, they seem to really gravitate towards reactors who are er, how do I put this, um less constrained and are a bit more inclined to continually fawn over the boys. Maybe it’s that instant gratification they get from those kind of reactors that makes them hang around for more. This is in no way a criticism of your approach which is more of a slow burn rather than explosions of enthusiasm. I like your approach which I appreciate is part reflection of your natural disposition. Looking forward to more 💜

Yoongi is one of the members i can relate to the most. What i admire the most about him is that he openly talks about mental health and that means a lot to me. Here where i'm from in South Africa mental health is rarely talked about and is actually a topic that is avoided completely and if someone finds out you struggle with mental health they would stay away from you. I have social anxiety and depression and the fact that he can openly talk about that stuff made me feel less alone. I have so much respect for him. He is an inspiration to so many.

I think it has to be both a very nervous, yet hopefully freeing feeling for him and others to openly discuss their mental health, ESPECIALLY when ARMYs are able to make those connections with them, including yourself (and myself)!

This was one of the best reactions and videos I've seen. I knew about Suga but this was edited so well, I still learned new things. While, I have not lived in poverty, I have been so poor that I only had 60 cents in my account. We literally went around the house and car looking for any change many times. I also understand working on a sprained ankle because I needed full pay vrs work man's comp and not telling the doctor I was going to be working. Wore ice pack under my long pants and lots of pain killers. I can truly relate and appreciate Suga and the sacrifices he made to follow his dream. I also appreciate your thoughtful comments and posting Jim Carrey speech. Very motivational, words needed more than ever for those going back into the work force 👏👏👏👏💜

Hi Chalfant! What I like about this video is that is showed Yoongi talking about what was being presented. Listening to him discuss his struggles and how he never gave up even though it was so hard at times. I think the struggle we have right now in society is "closed minded" people. This seems to be everywhere. I really enjoyed the video of Jim Carrey speaking that you included also. 💜

Most reactors who get huge amounts of views are either fake with their fake reactions, where they are screaming, running away from rooms out of "excitement" and being extra or watch popular videos, something like "x member sexy moments", and react to the members who more popular. Half of them don't even know real names of the boys. I get that it is easier to do this kind of reactions and get views, for some reasons people like fake but loud reactions. Personally I prefer reactors like you, who are diving deep and watching not the most popular things or reacting not to the most mainstream songs. Also I prefer your commentary, i think it is better that you are real and share stories and provide commentary out of your experience instead of saying typical things. So thank you for being awesome reactor

Still watching the video but I wanted to comment something in the middle. I enjoy these types of videos where the creator makes an observation or a point of a bts member and then provides a video of the member doing or saying something that supports the argument that they made. I'm not saying that there isn't necessarily any subjective opinions in this video but I like the way the creator makes their videos and tries to stay objective. It leave room for the viewer to make their own observations and opinions but also provides (in my opinion) good points. (apologies, english isn't my first language so I hope my point came across correctly) I really enjoy watching these reaction videos and hearing your opinions :) you're doing a great job.

When they were sitting around the table talking I believe it was after their second performance in Chile (it is in their Burn the Stage video). Jungkook wasn't there because during their second performance JK got sick (Chile is high up in the mountains) he got altitude sickness and kept passing out but he kept going back on stage and performing because he didn't want to disappoint army.

It shows many its beginnings in Daegu to Seoul. And it brings to mind the song "never mind" .. I remembered two fans who visited Daegu, and the school and places where V Tae was studying and frequented in Daegu, remembering their phrases in the same place. And then they visited the school and places where Suga frequented (3:41) . The same bus (724) that he took and mentioned in his rap 724 128 (min 6:30) . But while Suga´s fans were walking in the place, brought the lyrics of "Never mind". kzbin.info/www/bejne/emK5oYZ_m9KoiKs "From the underground workplace in NamSanDom to Seoul" from "Never mind" by Suga kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXisYYaZg9-nZrc Thank you!!!

Your generational comment hit me. I'm in your generation and I feel like we were very much pushed towards the "college, office/professional job, marriage, family, retirement" route and anything outside of that received very harsh criticism. We were shoved into a path and told we had no other options so many of us believed it. I was one who dropped my dream because I didn't want to continue to live in poverty. I'm happy to say that now I've returned to it. My daughter is an artist. She loves it. She's passionate about it. She works at it. But.... that's not "safe" so many tell her she is signing up for a lifetime of poverty. I tell her, "keep working. Keep going. Know that it is a hard road. Know that you may not have a ton of money. You may be the next big thing. Who knows? But if it's what you want to do, I'm behind you. When I said you could be what you want, I meant it." And then I back it up by getting her the drawing books she asks for, buying the equipment she needs, showing her classes and getting them if she wants, pushing her to broaden her skills by going outside of her comfort zone, and offering constructive(not hateful) criticisms when she asks for it. Why? Because it's her life, not mine. She has to be happy with herself, not make me happy by doing what she thinks I want. I want her to find joy daily, not wake up with dread daily. That said, we have discussed the difficulties of having a "not safe" path in life. I've had the same with my son(who wants to own a store so it was a little different but we still went over what he has to do in order to achieve that dream). I want my kids to do what they feel they were put here to do, not follow a line drawn on the concrete. Too many can't see beyond that safe line on the sidewalk that guides them on the path of least resistance. I'm an author-a very not safe path. I never know how much I'll make. My stories are stolen daily(pirates suck, so do the people who think its okay to use pirate sites because "books should be free" even though I invest thousands of dollars and months of work into one story). I have to invest in each book without knowing if I'll ever get out of the red on it. It's not safe, but it gives me peace to get the stories on paper. That means more than a Rolex to me. I also grew up in poverty, due to many reasons. Lack of education(neither of my parents graduated high school), location(we lived in a poor area with low wage jobs), and drug addiction. It was difficult and depressing but it also taught me a lot. It absolutely shaped how I think, what I value, and just my general mindset. The added violence and drug addiction in my household also pushed me in many ways that I think I wouldn't have if I'd grown up with an easy life. I hated how I grew up, but I also look at my kids and wonder if they'll have it harder later on because they weren't forced to develop those skills so early in life.

I want to recommend Bt21 videos, their characters are more like another snippets of their personalities imo, well BTS created them themselves, sometimes they even call them their child. It's light and fun short animation to watch with family. They also recorded the process of bts creating bt21's story, making up their universe and even fun commentary/reaction. Thank you again for this video, I'm learning something new. Yoongi is an amazing musician!!

It’s from the Smart Uniform Family Day in 2016. It was basically a fan event, along with other groups. They performed “Fire” and “Save Me” there as well. The cute dance was for the “Family Song” involving all the guest artists that day. It was adorable.

As you said that its how you feel about this channel when SUGA said that even if they put a lot of work they did't had the recognition they should have.. something like that.. even tho you said you were joking, i thing in part you was talking seriously .. So i would like to give my opinion of why this happens. I personally like your reactions and love the fact that you make long videos and learn about them in such a deep level, with every music video, lyrics, behind the scenes, everything... So it actually would have scence for you to think why your channel don't get more engagement comparing to some reactors who just watch one video and looks like are not really interesting in that.. So here it comes my personal opinion and "criticism" of why it could happen. I'm as a person who really love to see BTS reactions, when i watch reaction (and most of the people who watch it) already saw the video you are reacting. So we are here to hear your OPINION about What is going on ON THE VIDEO. To watch your emotions or excitement about some interesting, funny or sad thing that happened in that video. But if you would watch again your videos, you would see that there are A LOT of parts (sometimes 5/10 of even more minutes ) when you literally don't say anything.. you just looking on the screen. And for people who already saw this video you can imagine that its not really entertaining to watch somebody with no reaction in a reaction video. Another thing that i noticed that many times, instead of giving your thoughts about the boys, what do you think of them, how do you thing they were feeling about something from the video.. And in general, literally about what you just saw, you start talking about ""random"" things. Well, not really random.. its based of things from the video and many people gonna like it too. But its about general things in life, things from your life and everything but not things about the boys specificly. I hope you understand what i mean by that.. its ok to talk about general things but the problem is when you almost don't give your opinion about the boys themselves and what you thing about them but start talking only about general things based of their experiences. MOST of army watch reactions to hear people talking about BTS.. And if the reaction is the person watching the video that they already saw with and don't talk for 5 or more minutes, or start talking about general things in life, not really related to the boys, it could be a little bit boring.. Because its not for what most of army watch reactions. So this is why in my opinion your channel don't have more engagement like it could have. Because the content you reacting is AMAZING. The long videos are an AMAZING thing. And i really hope i didn't offended you and i really like your reactions.. But in my opinion if you would work in this aspects that i said, you gonna have MUCH MORE engagement ...
