3:10 No, it's not a Ryzen 7000 specific thing. My Gigabyte B650m AORUS ELITE can hit minus 60 on a Ryzen 5 7600. Before -60 on PBO2, my Ryzen 5 7600 draws 80w @4.9ghz on all core cinebench R23. After -60 on PBO2, it now draws 50w @5.15ghz, doing the same CBR23 all core benchmarking.

5090 is gonna be a 600w card, no way it fits in a sff build. I doubt I will find a better replacement for my 220w 4070 super in 5000 series from nvidia. Zotac 4070 super is the smallest of its kind and just fits in my Midori 5L case. You cannot jump above that in such tiny space. 5080 is rumored to be 450W and there's no way 5070 will consume as little as 4070-4070s do. the future of sff builds does not look bright

@@MoltenPie I think the smallest case you could put a 4090 in would be the Dan A4, and then at that point you're limited to one of the 2 slot blower versions that are really made for AI workloads and are loud AF (comparable with some gaming laptops on high fan setting) under load. With a custom voltage/clock curve and some power limiting you could maybe get a usable 4090/9800X3D build at 7L but it would still be compromised I think. I'd still consider the FormD T1 SFF though and you can easily do a solid build in that.

Hey there, that was very interesting, just the sort of thing I really wanted to see. I have a compact 4090/7800X3D rig in a highly constrained case. Under the circumstances, I opted for a 120mm AIO cooler drawing in room temperature air from _outside_ the case. That air is quickly exhausted out the top and back of the case missing the GPU intakes. I get very similar results as you with a PBO2 -30mV curve. I get 5050MHz max and over 4.7GHz all core. The 4090 is undervolted too. It's curve is raised to 2760MHz at 975mV before flattening off.
