I had best results by removal of each weed, adding a little seed, my own topsoil, And then some peat moss. Nextdoor had a dandelion farm. I volunteered to help. Now my wife and daughters had a nice yard. All those costs add up if you dont have good dirt before planting. The best weed prevention is a strong and healthy growing lawn. Keep at it. It pays off.

Absolutely! My front yard is great, I didn't use that soil. I will say, at least I don't have dandelions. HAHAHA!

If you don't plant dandelions and don't live by dandelions then how do you make dandelion wine? When you remove them, add soil, add grass seed, add peat moss. The least amount of work. The least expense. The quicker results. And the least stress. Then go spend time with your children. It's a simple way to save money and have a beautiful lawn. Start by amending your soil according to your conditions. Use a thatching machine too. That's what I did. We have tall trees and a lot of rain.

Those dang birds that relieve themselves on our lawns 😂😂 I like your thought process and explanations. Have good day dude.

BIRDS!!!! Seriously though, it's not the birds. I mean, where do these places get the dirt? Thanks for watching bud!

@@DaddingAllDay when I did my work in the lawn last year, the super screened topsoil I used introduced so much crabgrass. It was obvious cause it was only where I used it.

@Budget Lawns Yeah... it is what is. The weeds are always lurking, but it's what makes lawn care fun... right?

Definitely a risk whenever we apply outdoor stored materials. 🙏

You'd think they could have made synthetic soil by now...

Never seems to fail. Top dress with anything will almost introduce something new in the lawn. Frustrating for sure.

Absolutely! You try to "perfect" your lawn, only to potentially make it worse. LOL

☀That poor Bermuda is full of weeds!! Those wretched birds and Soil3! 😎 Good to see you, Chuck! You'll have it whipped in to shape in no time. 👍

Great video, looks a ton better after the scalp! I just tolerate some weeds in my backyard since it is mainly for the kids and birds/wildlife.👍

Same here. It doesn’t and won't be weed free. My wife and I will spend Spring/Summer nights on the patio, and having a nice lawn with our garden makes for a more relaxing experience

The pre-emergent has been my achilles heel. Such is my yards present situation 🤣.

I'm on the ball so far this season. I completed the split application of prodiamine in the front. I need to get it for the back. That's the plan for this week.

I had some timing issues and ended up putting my pre-m down full rate before I did some 100% sand levelling this season. The sand seemed clean but I've been worried ever since and your video kind of reinforces my fears lol. I'm wondering if I should wait a bit and put down a different pre-em or just deal with what comes up later. Love your content btw and wish you much success.

You'll more than likely be okay, and nothing will germinate. Just be sure to put that pre-emergent down later in the year.
