Some people really think Michael is a schmuck that does William's bidding just for the sake of being contrarians, I wish Scott gave the characters more development instead of making us headcanon their personalities.

Based on the logbook and some of his in-game behavior (like FNaF 4), he's a pretty snarky individual with what seems like a dry sense of humor. He also feels like he's the only sane person who realizes that Freddy's has absolutely insane stuff going on.

I think Michael is one of the few characters in FNAF with a layered and consistent personality shown to us in FNAF 4, SL and The Logbook. I do think he's often misunderstood though, and some angry vengeful guy when he's really more snarky and chill. Since Mike is probably alive and the CEO of FE I do look forward to probably seeing more of him, and I also am really excited to see how he is depicted in the movie. I like Michael, he gud.

@@GRASS191 you're right that they probably should, but it doesn't mean they will lol. Glitchtrap is not confirmed to be part of the mimic, even if it is possible (and at this point, very likely). Glitchtrap, whether you like it or not, is a manifestation of William Afton in some form, whether it is him in digital form, a digital copy of his consciousness/being, or it is just the mimic program pretending to be him--Glitchtrap itself IS, for all intents and purposes, William Afton after FNAF 6, and Burntrap is even further proof considering it's literally a new version of Springtrap. The Blob existing with non-molten Funtime Freddy, Baby, Puppet, and the classic animatronics implies that there IS stuff after the FNAF 6 fire with these characters, and there is no reason it couldn't extend to Michael. You are also ignoring Michael's SL room in Security Breach and the commonly believed theory that he possesses Glamrock Freddy. Regardless of what you believe or how you feel about it, the Aftons have BEEN back in some form.

Ooh, a video actually incorporating Michael saying William sent him to free Elizabeth! It's so weird to me how people will cite every other sentence in that speech but then ignore that crucial detail. I'm inclined to think that he knew a bit more at the time he went down (and possibly even when William sent him other places-perhaps he guilted him by saying "all of this is to help bring your brother back and undo your crimes"?), but otherwise I agree with this.

I feel the same way. I am pumped for the Fnaf movie if only to see Michael get some justice in the franchise for once :D Everyone knows he's the protagonist of all these games but Scott still treats it like this big mystery. It feels like the equivalent of still suggesting that maybe purple guy is phone guy. So the movie will be nice in the sense that it should flat out "settle" some of the lore that should have been settled years ago.

Michael isn't pure. Originally, he intended to prank his brother, with no intention on killing him. That's his only flaw as a protagonist. He goes through all this pain and suffering to try to end his dads rain of terror, and atone for his sins, which truly shows he's a decent guy. Henry wasn't really a protagonist, because let's be honest, he was pretty neglectful with how he handled some things. Even when the robots had a bad smell with blood and mucus coming out, you'd think the police would try to have a warrant to search the robots, even when the 5 kids were never found. My guess is that they were paid off, because there's no way the cops would be that stupid. P.s. I've always wanted to see a Fnaf game that takes place in the public, where we're reading about the terrors that has happened at the Pizzaplex. And each and every day and night cycle, things start to change, and more things happen. Example: The bad ending where we escape the Pizzaplex: We could play as an investigator who's trying to find out what happened to the missing local residents. This could be a good opportunity to experience what it's like, outside the world of just being stuck inside a pizzeria. Anyone agree? Edit: Everyone has flaws, but that does’t completely define a human being (depending on the circumstances), it’s how they are now that matters most.
@Solirhaps
@Solirhaps Жыл бұрын
i dont think the thats the reason Michael is flawed as a protagonist. His first act as horrible person is whats makes him great in the mean time because of the development he's going and as a protagonist it really made us feel for him. All those negative aspects of him before turn into something beautifully writen whats makes it special when it comes to storytelling and character driven and development. I really DO hope the movie do justice about Michael, it should be mostly about redemption for Michael other than basic knowledge of what fnaf1 should also showcast.

I don’t think having the lack of Pureness is a flaw…. It’s human… his character as a neglected teen with having the responsibility to take care of two adolescent children who are emotionally unstable is w very humanistic aspect of who he is…. Nobody is “pure” in the sense of doing no good/

This is the best explanation for the character Mike. I hate the theory like Fuhnaff is getting out that basically says that Mike is a villain helping his father and Henry is the one trying to stop them. After years of us thinking that Mike was the hero it seems impossible to change the story his character like that. Michael has always been represented as the hero not the villain. I just can't see him doing bad things. I do basically agree with almost all you have said. Mike is jealous of his brother and that cause him to accidentally kill him in the bite of 83. I also think that Fnaf 4 is actually real and not a nightmare. The novels have revealed to us the illusion discs something that also exists in the game, and so the only better place to place them is fnaf 4 with the nightmares animatronics created by his father to give him some sort of guilt for having killed his son. In fact the private room showed that William was observing him. This would Mike an even more tragic charcter. Since he was a kid he was abused by his father and used as a mouse lab for his experiments. But then the way you interpreted could also work. For my opinion both of those could be canon. The I also like the idea that is recently popping out and that you used. And that is Mike being manipulated by his father and sent to location to do his dirty work. I think Mike was sent there by his father to do his work blindly without even knowing what exactly he was doing. He was probably sent there by William to retrieve the animatronic's endoskeleton. And Mike was doing all of this without knowing that he was basically collecting remnant haunted by the souls of the victim of his serial killer father. That would still make him innocent. I also thought a different thing. You know in the survival logbook Mike can communicate with spirits. Especially the golden Freddy spirits considering that one of them is his brother is still possible that after that Mike started suspecting about his father and that led him to take a job at Freddy's to somehow unmask his father's crimes. After all Mike then goes ti Sister location and get scooped and here he realizes who is father really. Mike story arch Is amazing and so well written. I really hope in the future we won't get the revelation of Mike being evil and Henry being good. That will basically ruin his amazing charcter. Amzing video anyways and sorry for the long comment!

I agree!! I hate when people limit his character to just him being a bad brother and feeling bad for killing the CC. What makes the FNAF lore so great imo is his arc of redemption and heroism, he’s definitely a tragic and flawed character.

You’ve just earned a sub. I really like watching your videos. I personally think of Michael being a bitter man kind of stuck in the past, riddled with guilt over the bite of 83. It makes no sense for the events of Sister location to happen after the events of FNAF 1 and 2. The establishments burned to the ground after each game. There's clearly a pattern when you take into account FNAF 3, which is in a fire we KNOW Michael set to burn his father. During FNAF 1 & 2, he's already on the war-path to come after dad, he's already been scooped, he's a zombie security guard.

We do get quite a lot to go on. chloesimagination on the funny camera platform is a good low-effort source, but what we see is a rick asley-looking dude who b00lli3d a kid, got scared straight, is tired, adores soap operas, identifies with Clara, is vengeful, has great acting skills, has a Darth Vader-like sense of humor, draws like a deity, is a very problematic businessperson, and adores/thinks about fire. That's quite a bit for the franchise, and makes him so endearing to me. Very zympathetic zombie 4:14 P sure he only went to FNaF2 and 1 and 3 because of the events of SL. Like, at most he worked at the first Freddy's (the one between Fredbear's and FNaF2) before SL

It's a theory, but I think it would be helpful to separate lore from conjecture when there isn't much to support it, like who said Michael gave up on his mission at any point? Michael's personality or role in the story isn't really that of an abused and cowed child. If anything their personalities would make it more likely for CC to be the abused one. Siblings with narcissist parents often gang up on the one the parent dislikes.
