I enjoyed this film but ultimately what the events leading up the finale proved was that C's dad was right. There's consequences for living the way you do. C saw two different approaches to life. He saw the easy way full of compromise and the right way that gave them a home and a solid work ethic. Sonny sold the easy life but he constantly was looking over his shoulder and hustling everyone to maintain this perception of acceptance.
@nasirthesenatejohnson69357 жыл бұрын
Rick Baker You ever think that Sonny wasn't fortunate enough to have a father/parents that cared about and supported him as much as Calogero? Let alone a second Dad
@Playitstraight447 жыл бұрын
I think his life of compromise came home to roost. You have to remember, most of what he sold was perception. He had to pay everyone to be there for him. That's why Sonny felt close to C because he was there whether he did him favors or not. I think C understood that and saw the flaws in Sonny's ways at the end. That's why C told Joe Pesci's character he needed a break from the corner store. He knew that wasn't where it was at.

@jaygray98622 жыл бұрын
He was a crew boss... Not a mob boss
@Cinemabuff972 жыл бұрын
@@AnnaLVajda Well I agree, I think C should have listened to his father, and not hung around with Sonny, because if Sonny survived, and C continued to hang around with him for many many years, he could eventually get in some trouble, and could've gotten killed or would have to start killing people. The mafia is obviously dangerous. I side with C's dad more, but at the same time, I also liked Sonny. I thought Sonny was, while dangerous, also loving to C, and he taught him some important life lessons. He was like a second father to C. So, that's why I was a bit sad when he died. But at the same time, Sonny could have turned on him at some point in the future, if he survived that shooting and lived. So in conclusion, while I do like Sonny, I do realize he's dangerous too. I moreso side with Lorenzo, as he was the real, and better father. And C should have listened to him.

To be honest I think the kid escaped im sure he got his ass whooped but I doubt he got killed, my opinion he probably became the new sunny or they let him go...remember sunny was feared not loved. There is a difference between the two, at the end his henchmen didn't care the only person who cared was C
