You can gauge a craftsman’s skill by the cleanliness of his site. Too true.

I am always impressed with your commitment to detail. Your quality would put most North American carpenters to shame. I also like seeing new techniques that we have not yet adopted here in North America. Please keep these videos coming.

I think that it's always a good idea to view other methods with an open mind...one funny electrical thing...in Germany, outlet and switch boxes are round, so you just drill with the appropriate size hole saw, no mucking about with "almost square"holes, and the boxes are easy to line up and screw down to frames

the more I watch this channel (and others), the more I love this style of home construction. As a carpenter, it just makes so much sense to me. I also really appreciate that you clean your jobsite. I'm the same but some people say it's a waste of time. I can't work in a mess.

Agreed, I have a saying, people notice when it's dirty but not when it's clean. I have had clients call and complain that I never showed up... but that's because I didn't leave a trace. :)

I really like the Japanese way of building. A lot of it makes more sense to me. True about having a clean jobsite/workspace. For me, it just feels better to have a clean space. And you know where things are and can access them more efficiently. I don't have my own proper workshop yet, but my work area is very temporary (I'm building a custom travel camper at the moment). But I still like keeping it clean. It's good do also dedicate some time just for cleanup and organization. One question for the carpenter - What happens if one of those plastic supports fails? Is it common to have to open up the floor to fix one of them later? I'm curious to know what kind of plastic it is (and what different materials Japan has that the States doesn't) and how the supports are made/built. Thank you for the videos as I've just discovered this channel but I'm really enjoying it.

Amazing content, It's been such a joy to follow. A small suggestion: The description of this video begins with "Last Video", in a split second before I understood what you meant I read it as this would be the last video of the current season. No big deal at all but you could potentially use "Previous Video" instead. Can't wait until the next one! Cheers!

Thank you for your videos that show us your culture of work. It is very strange that in Europe, where i live polistirene is forbidden to be used near wood. Isn't it a fire hazard, or how do you treat for fire hazard?
