Alright, so I feel the need to explain a few different aspects of this video. I’ll break them up into segments to make it easier to read. Production: This video took a couple years to make, so things aren’t as coherent as I would like, and the quality isn’t where I would normally be happy with. Though, even acknowledging that the concepts in this video could be delivered better, they still serve an important purpose. That’s the reason why an old video like this was still released, because it seemed like it could be of use to someone somewhere. When I started making this, there were no other videos of this type on KZbin. Now, there are many videos like this, with even a handful of channels made around this concept of content creation. Thusly, I have lost interest in it completely. Since it no longer seems like something I need to do. KZbinr Critique In Concept: The concept of critiquing KZbinrs isn’t just “interesting” -- it is needed. Without it, people will stagnate, and others will lack guidance in order to grow. I hope that this genre continues to grow, because it is needed for future generations of artists to improve. To critique the actual execution of this video. The main thing I have to say is, that its structural idea is completely flawed. It sounds, at first, like a good idea to tackle all of a KZbinr’s catalog. As to cover every nuance of the journey. That idea however, breaks down very fast, with a bit of thought. For the KZbinr being critiqued, a majority of it isn’t even directed at what they are doing anymore. And for the viewer/artist, trying to grow, they are getting less focused guidance, then they could have otherwise. It’s far better to have a focused concept the video is focused on, rather then just pointing out the same few aspects over and over, in comparison to a particular KZbinr. Meaning, it’s better to make a video discussing marketing, or production, then it is to review how someone else is doing it. Not to say that doesn’t serve its own purpose; but the execution of it here, is too broad. To make more effective content like this, one needs to have far more focus. General Q&A: Q: Why are you qualified for this type of video? A: Besides the fact I have experience and capacity, there is something this question is overlooking. Judge for yourself. It doesn’t matter if one is a genius, a child, rich or poor, focus on the content of there words, and not the context of who they are. Q: Will there be more content like this? A: Generally, no. I do, have a channel where I discuss writing and self-improvement, were I make more content more similar to this. However, no more critiquing KZbinr videos. Q: Hey, you seem like a cool sexy guy, where can I find more of you? A: I run six KZbin channels (Variety, TableTop, Writing/Self-improvement, Podcast, vod edits). I have three novel series currently running, in multiple genres you might like (Battel Shonen, Isekai, Supernatural Mystery). I also have a manga one-shot out, along with more in the works. (Also, if you’re an artist, hit me up). Q: Ahur dur, you said you were bigger than him; but you have no subs ;) A: Yes. Q: Is that a real debate offer? A: Yes. Though, a boxing match is cool with me too. TL/DR: This video took a while and isn’t good. Pls, no hurt me. Trying to tackle an entire KZbinrs catalog is a stupid idea. As I stated, this is for content creators who haven't overcome these same flaws as of yet. To help them figure our some solutions to them. As to your last two points, you don't exactly flesh out your reasoning for believing those things, so it doesn't really hold much weight. Which is fine, you can not like my voice, or style of critique. Though, I wouldn't conflate that with not giving competent criticism. Especially since, many parts of the video are on factual errors and practical advice. Don't know why you thought this comment was worth leaving - Ah, just kidding, I'm not gonna clap back like that. I appreciate you attempting to leave feedback, even if it isn't very well thought out :)
