If you have one of those pot strainer baskets for cooking pasta, you could put your green beans in that so that you can pull them all out of the blanching water all at once.

I grew up eating green beans we froze! Try breaking them and packing in your freezer bags and freezing without washing or blanching. Take them out of the freezer and wash when you’re ready to cook a “mess” as we say in East Tennessee!

One thing that I am noticing about you cutting the ends off of your green beans. When cut the ends off instead of breaking them off, if the beans have a string and you are leaving it on the bean it can be tuff.

Hey Bre, You have such a nice channel. I do really love your approach and flow of your videos. Very common sense and practical. I have started to follow you recently and think it was a great decision. I just might try the pickled okra. I have been eating okra for 60 years but never pickled I am think very similar to pickled peppers in term of production. Thank you for the video Cya next thyme, Steven

Wondering if you have ever tried to make gummies out of your freeze dried powders and flavorless gelatin. For winter health, I imagine that could be quite beneficial. Ginger, lemon gummies. Echinacea gummies. Hibiscus gummies, etc. Edit: I bet cantaloupe gummies would be good too.

I live in a rental home. I have a yard, but I'm not allowed to dig into it for an inground garden. This year I've had a lot of luck with a grow bag garden, but I really want to expand next year into a few 8×4 raised beds. I have the space for it, but I am worried that if we move within the next couple years, it might be a waste to get rid of all the soil in the beds. Do you think its worth the investment to do raised beds now or wait until I own property?
@aloras4052 ай бұрын
@@hamptervignettes definitely invest in it if you can. You can take the soil with you. I personally would get the bigger grow bags.
@mrRoverkane2 ай бұрын
lol I’m in a owned home but I’ve got my most sentimental citrus trees in a container- just in case we decide to move… whenever that might be. Probably never but hey, never know. 😂 I’d keep with the container growing if you’re anticipating moving. I wouldn’t worry too much about the soil
@itsbreellis2 ай бұрын
I would keep finding big containers, might be easier to move eventually but I also know things never go to plan and if you want to grow more and you can do that it doesn't hurt to make the investment now!

I interviewed for a cook job at a restaurant. The kitchen looked awful, with long-time burned on grease around the edges of the grill, crap on the floor and all that kind of thing. Anyway, the boss wanted me to try his pancakes. He made them from a mix and it tasted like water. Bland. I told him so and he got mad. I left. Hired on with a different restaurant. They used the same mix but added an egg product, butter, vanilla, and a few other things. They had the best pancakes. On Mondays, they had all you can eat scrambled eggs and pancakes. Place was packed every time.
