Yooo!! Wife is half Sicilian..as a Filipino..of course thr made me be a nurse "they" = parents. Going to self teach myself and giving myself 2-3 years to learn and build my portfolio. I want to stay hyperfocused while working a full-time job, wife, kids and a mortgage. But the dream is so big I can't stop chasing it. Any advice? Also was thinking of the Netherlands too!! Any tips?

Hey, nice to hear that! It's never too late to learn new things, mostly if you have passion and interest on it. These are some tips that can surely help you: pick one programming language, learn the basics, stay consistent dedicating at least 30 minutes a day studying or practicing, learning from the online resources and from others too! As a software developer, I can tell you that Netherlands is a good option for sure. These short tips may be too generic, but if you apply them in your daily life, you'll see lots of differences and I believe that you'll succeed

Hey Justine! I don't know why but I'm getting a lot of recommendations of small-time youtuber/developers. I just wanted to say, I know how difficult it is to grow a youtube channel, and it helps to support fellow creators/devs starting out - so you got yourself a subscribe man! Keep up the uploads. PS: Can't believe you work for Accenture! And @ home! I'd love a video on tips on how to get into the tech market as a developer.

man, i wonder if u can ask some of my questions. u did your college in italy or in other country? And if u did in Italy, was hard? U did some test, and what kind of thing were in this test? And how u lived during the college (like where u live, how u get money, etc.)? Thanks for the attencion

Hey, I pursued college in Italy while working full time as a software developer. However, due to shifting priorities, I decided to pause my studies. Going back, I enrolled in an online college, where the most challenging aspect was the lack of physical interaction with professors and fellow students. The courses were open without traditional exams, which presented its own set of challenges. Balancing a full-time job with studying and attending lessons was tough, but I managed to navigate through it for less than 1 year...

When I read "my team is spread across italy and india" thats a company, I would not work at. I hate this "we source everything out to cheap dudes in india" kind of mindset.

I get where you're coming from, and I share some of your concerns! It's frustrating when companies focus on cost-cutting without considering the impact on quality, culture, or employee satisfaction. For me, it's important that outsourcing or remote collaboration is done thoughtfully, with respect for all team members and a focus on maintaining high standards. Thanks for sharing this 🙌
