I've already said it before in these comments but I like to repeat it: one of the qualities that I adore about Jay, other than his calm, his absence of ego and his humility, is his adorable curiosity towards those that he rubs shoulders with or hang out with. He is always asking: ''What do you think of this or that?'', ''What was your favorite this or that?'', ''What struck you most in this or that situation?'', etc... Jay is simply a calm and silent leader, open to others and with whom you want to become friends and chill out with. What more can you ask for? Jay is one of bodybuilding's most humble and loving ambassadors. Certainly one of the most loved Mr Olympia. Am i wrong?

A great way of programming for a good combination of strength and cardio/respiratory fitness. I'm 56 and follow a similar program but every 8-12 weeks I change the resistance training aims and methods. Currently its strength work, next will be higher volume sessions, maybe until Xmas, then something different after.

Loved the video Jay as always. SO to Angie for taking Dave’s spot holding the camera for a little bit. Lol. House is coming along nicely. Anyway, yeah we want to train indefinitely as you said for health and wellness. I was in my gym and saw these young guys go absolutely crazy with weight and doing reps a bit too fast. To each their own right. I’m in my late 20s repin back day the way Jay preaches being controlled and taking my rests focusing on the pump. Your comment made me think about the way we do our training and how we should listen to our body. Kinda a long one but you really brought up a great point with training now that you are where you are and what you have accomplished as a 4X Mr O. You definitely have great insight and techniques for your community. Have a great trip in Cali!

I kept getting injuries, small ones, all the time. UNTIL i started full-body stretching/flexing at least twice a day. Sometimes i run to the bathroom and take 2min to stretch and warm up my shoulders. By stretch/flexing i am stretching the muscle out then flexing it until almost cramping, then stretching it out again. Feels AMAZING. Now its a part of my daily routine. Always in the morning and ALWAYS right before i lay down to sleep. A couple times throughout the day I'll stretch too. Now I'm finally making serious progress in the gym and without injury. I highly recommend it.

my lower back and my knees are hurting too much since i again started bodybuilding after a couple of years. some doctors are saying that i am training too hard and too long. is this really true.? i am also taking creatine regularly
@J.D.Mc.2 ай бұрын
@@InnerLifePhotography hmmm.... not sure. Honestly your form could be off just enough to tweak things. OR you might be lifting to heavy and too much. Try this, lower the weight you lift and slow the speed down. 2-3 seconds concentric and 4-6 seconds eccentric. Give a 2 second pause at the stretched most position of the movement. You wont be lifting super heavy BUT you will get killer gains. Increasing your TUT will force your bones and joint tissues to grow and strengthen. Train like this for a couple months and see the difference. Give your body time to grow and adapt. I'm not sure of your age so i can't be more specific. Avoid sugar, it will screw up your healing. Go heavy on meat and eat some regular veggies like potatoes. Try to avoid processed foods. Oh and here is another key helper. Every night before bed you need to stretch your whole body and release the tension from the day. Warm up your shoulders too. You will sleep and recover WAY better. Hope this helps. 💪🏼🇺🇲👍🏻

@@J.D.Mc. one more thing; should i need to mix glucose or any sugary syrup with creatine because someone suggested me to mix any of them with creatine as sugar dissolves in human body more vigorously. what’s your advice or experience says
@J.D.Mc.2 ай бұрын
@@InnerLifePhotography I'm not expert on the topic, however from my understanding it wouldn'thelp. I take 5g a day. 2.5 with morning shake, 2.5 with night time shake.( It's something that needs time to build in your body with time.) I split because i have some intestinal issues and it works for me. Know that 5g a day is great and a typical dose. It doesn't really matter the time of day you take it as long as your consistent so it builds up in your body. I haven't seen anything about loading with glucose. I have seen articles where people who are starting creatine take 10g a day for 2 weeks to load up a supply in the body then drop it to 5g to maintain the levels. I do however recommend a quality creatine. Anything with "creapure" is certified pure, also Isopure makes a great creatine product that's cheaper then creapure. Hope this helps. 🤠👍🏻

i really like the way those straight leg deadlifts with the dumbells looked... I'm going to try them in with my back workout next week; I feel as though the difference between the dumbells and the barbell straight legs will be the ability to isolate the lats and really squeeze em back tight at the top end of the lift from different angles (by holding the dumbell differently). Great vid man, you look great; glad the house is coming along and glad to see you are getting some traction in moving forward with your current training routine.

Love your training style champ. I get periodic lower back pain. I sit 6-8 hours a day working as a software engineer. I’m sure a lot of people have the same issue. I’m training the same style as you, light weight high volume and focusing on the pump but still some days my lower back gets painful and since it’s not during training it’s hard to know what moves cause it. Do you have any tips or suggestions on how I can get to the pain free stage like yourself? I don’t deadlift or squat or bent row but I do everything else.
@markdbenson756 ай бұрын
I worked as an IT guy too and I only ever had back issues during my ‘static’ IT career. Some of those issues have been negated since I stopped work and sitting for so long. It’s really bad for your back, and weakens and shortens certain muscles. I found it impossible to counteract 8hrs of sitting still each day, even with short breaks. I’m not sure any exercise or stretching regime can counteract lengthy sitting to be honest.

Genetics is not always talked enough, your good health is not just that you listened to your body during your career but also good genes like bone density, length of limbs and torso etc so it's a combination of little things and imitating your training style not necessary will result no joint problems for everyone. I hope that I was not rude or disrespectful :)
@wombat5252 Жыл бұрын
Crazy how he keeps that much muscle mass and all he does is regular weights that most gym goers do. Only 4 plates on each side on the leg press for example, that's not heavy. Or dead lifts with only 2 plates on each side or curls with maybe 40 or 45lb. Wild. Doesn't make sense. Lol
