I have a hard time understanding why you "only" have 1900 subscribers. I mean, your editing is really great, the content really interesting and you and Aisha is a beautyful couple. I have been on youtube since the day it launched its first video (yes, I am that old and have a daughter your age) and there are so very many channels that are completely uninteresting that have 100 000+ subscribers. Anyway, I will from now on share all your videos on my social media platforms to help you grow your channel. Please keep up the great work and the great fight against this terrible, terrible disease! I hope you´ll soon have you silver playbutton, ´cause you and Aisha is so worth it!

Hey, I'm one of the recent subscriber, I don't know how I ended up finding your channel (I'm French, I don't have cancer and I don't watch vlogs!!) and I watch one of your videos out of curiosity. I thought It was quite "weird" as It was about cancer but not really, more like 90% about you 2 ladies living/enjoying life... I don't really watch videos about cancer, unless exceptions like the very powerful video of endometrial cancer / Bernadette Tynan, which should be watched by all. Anyway, what I wanted to say is that, at first, I was surprised at how a video could be labelled as bad results (for example) and still, we witness so much joy, life, going out, doing stuff, eating at nando's (a lot ;)) etc.. Now I love it ;), in my country, we would say that you give us une leçon de vie (In English, probably: a life lesson) in each video.... It's also snowing here in south of France but like you said (I don't know if it's a real english expression but I love it lol), it's only pussy snow !! And sorry for my english, I'm a bit limited on how to express myself (would be a lot nicer, precise in French ;)). I don't think I'll post again (I don't really like to write), but I'll keep watching and following all your adventures ! All the best for you 2 xx

rafarafarafarafa13 Great response... I think you summed up (for most of us) why we are so drawn to Emily’s channel. I don’t watch vlogs except for these but I’d watch her irregardless of whether she had cancer or not - but it just so worked out that it was because of the cancer how I found her (the channel 4 documentary) - she stood out so much. Emily, if your reading this, you’re character through this is exemplary! X

Like Claire Carey said, You are going to smash it, when it comes to living longer than 12 months. I was given 3-6 months and that was almost 2 yrs ago!!!! But honestly, with my melanoma there are only 3-6 documented cases. And of those, only 1 person, that they weren't possitive had the same cancer, is still living past 4 yrs. And one other, who was able to have the majority of her tumor surgically removed, is alive 5 yrs later. My largest tumor which is in my mediastinum intertwines with my heart and major blood veins. So removal is impossible. But I have already loved way longer than expected. Which showes that they really don't know how long anyone will live. Especially when you are taking care of your body the way you are. You are kick-ass awesome!

first let me say, because ive never said it, but you and ur lady are absolutely beautiful. second maybe you have tried, but eat dried prunes.. will help get the plumbing flowing properly. 3rd, this whole 12 months business.. its a guideline im sure but not a reality. its like lupus, docs always say alright, lets talk about the 10 year plan.. like what? 10 years? because they dont look past 10 years. stats show we die of infection first, kidney failure 2nd & heart disease, and because ive got irreversible kidney disease they cut about 20 years off my nature life and dont look past 10 from diagnosis. well screw em. ive got one more year till i hit the 10 year mark and im a fucking fighter, as are u! you continue to inspire me. as for last vlogs question, i could die at any moment, i cant afford a cold or infection so i just accept it and live life as normal, not gonna lie first year i went through a depression knowing my disease is progressive and eventually i will need a caregiver but... that just makes me love a little harder, dont deny myself something i would have put off and sometimes i get scared. but thats life, anyone could die at any time so maybe we should all just live a bit better everyday when we can.. u know, just in case. love from Montreal Canada xo

New sub here. Your strength and spirit are infectious keep it up girl. Just wanted to say my sister in law was re diagnosed with breast cancer she had been cleared of a few years prior. He health quickly deteriorated and the nhs basically gave up on her. They told her she was lucky to still be alive. Been a polish citizen she decided to have private treatment in Poland. She is like a different person now. She was so skinny before and now she is getting a podge on. She hasn’t been given the all clear yet but she is doing much better. We hope and pray she gets better. If she had given up before she could be dead now. Never stop the fight. Much love xxx

Hi Emily, I was drawn to your channel and similar like it because I am going through certain tests to see if I'm about to join the same club, and so the interest started by finding all I can about cancer, a horrible thing when the body tries to kill itself, you are a incredible person on how you are dealing with it - enjoying life and continuing on with a positive attitude and not letting it stop you. Your videos are very entertaining, and also inspiring I'm sure to many people, both with and without your situation. I may be there as well, or not, depending on test results which could be good or bad. Don't think I could ever have the courage you have if bad, to fight it, but seeing your videos will certainly help.

Great video Emily. I am curious. If you did not have cancer would you be living life any differently? Does the cancer actually have a positive benefit in that it helps you extract and savor the best out of every moment in your life? I would think that is how it would be but am interested in your thoughts. Big hugs. :)

Rachel B •Farmiga Fan• The drugs are not free in fact. The taxpayer pays through their taxes for the benefit of all. I live in Canada and am gratefully on meds that are covered by the province/federal government through the provincial tax base. Nothing but love & life are free. 😉
@RachelDex
@RachelDex 6 жыл бұрын
Carolyn Campbell Quit nit picking. We, in the UK, pay national insurance, which means we don't pay over the counter for certain meds and in certain situations. We can go to hospital and be treated at no direct cost to us, unlike a lot of other countries. Take your facetious ass elsewhere. It's not necessary, especially on Emily's videos
@ukeelady

Rachel B •Farmiga Fan• lol Truth is truth. I well know how it works in the UK. No. You pay for a tiny portion of the actual cost. The taxpayer pays the rest. Not sure that hardworking taxpayers would appreciate you calling their participation in the care of thousands and thousands of people nitpicking. My point was and is. It's not free. Don't misrepresent the facts if you don't wish the facts to be said.

Carolyn Campbell I am tax payer you prat. Hard working also - i have never been unemployed since the age of 13. I get any hospital treatment or contraception FREE because i am a UK citizen and i contribute the amount i am supposed contribute via national insurance, as i have since the age of 18. I personally don't get any other medication free because i am healthy and i work full time. My "tiny portion" amounts to plenty, given that I've been paying NI for nearly 20 years

O E, Thank you!!! I was just wondering if it was spelled differently in the UK. The liquid form of morphine Em used is not something I've seen here where you would drink it like water. It seems the UK may have a leg up on how to control cancer pain then the US. Peace!!!✌
@deborahol
@deborahol 4 жыл бұрын
@@m.baysdan9159 You're welcome. It's called 'Oramorph' I have it for my fibromyalgia though not as much as Em used to take god bless her soul. It's a pre mixed solution and you can take it on a spoon from the bottle. It's very strong tasting and hits the back of the throat but the taste of it isn't too bad in general. The best I can describe is it very much like a strong liqueur. It's used for breakthrough pain. I also take the slow release morphine tablets that last 12 hours each but even with those, I still get breakthrough pain in between. So the oramorph is used for that as a top up measure and it works very fast. It's really effective but can make you very drowsy in the beginning. You get used to it after a while and the side effects lessen. You may have something similar over there.
@m.baysdan9159

O E,, I wish I had known about Oramorph. My mother had breast cancer. She went through chemo, radiation, and had all her her nymph nodes on her breast removed. She was cancer free for years when it came back in her liver, femur, lung, and it just kept spreading. She was always in so much pain even with the morphine they prescribed and regulated throughout her battle with cancer. My stepfather and biological father as well died of cancer. The Oramorph should be given here as it is needed for those who suffer so much pain. I wish you the best. It just doesn't seem fair that you would be in continuous pain. After reading your posts and watching Em's vlogs I am humbled. God Bless!!✌🙏

Hey - since I'm stuck at home with the flu - I got to watch your video close to when it was actually posted!:) Cool. I'm going to consider myself an OLD subscriber - it makes me feel wiser for some reason - haha. I'm still voting for a girlfriend Q&A. Super simple for you to do and good content for new and old subscribers. You ask for subscriber questions and you and Aisha sit in front of the camera and answer them....subscribers are so demanding aren't we?? Hoping the fybogel works - that looked pretty nasty!

I am at the end of the line as well with lyme disease and total food intolerance, I am wondering you know this treatment will not do much, why don't you go on full holistic while you still have time, there are many many cases that got cured on the gherson therapy, at least with that you have a change to live and beat it.

Emily, I just starting watching your videos and want to say that you are the most positive person I know. I have a question : How are your parents / family with dealing with your illness and do they go with you ever to the doctors or hospital ?

Also, what kind of health insurance do you have in the UK?

We have the National Health Service ( NHS ) which is free treatment at the point of contact, so everybody gets equal access to the newest treatments and it is paid for by the Government and we pay into the social security pot through our taxation. Basically we lose about 25% of our income on a 75k per year and that covers all your taxes and police and fire service apart from that you pay about $100 per month for bin collections and recycling and that is it, what you take home is yours to keep and do as you want with as pension contributions are also taken out before we even receive our pay packet, we also have dental care on the NHS for all Children for which is free and also free prescriptions as well. So although we will not all use it in our lifetime we all know people who have had to use the NHS so nobody minds paying our taxes as everybody gets free treatment and that seems the best way to do it to us. No system is without faults though and I think if you were to ask British people the thing they were most proud of the NHS would be in their top three for sure.

Emily how on earth are you on such a small dose of pregabalin? I'm taking 300mg twice a day and I'm not fighting terminal cancer, does it actually help you at that dose? X
