Got yourself a piece of paradise there Sam & Moriah. You deserve it after all the hard work you put into it.

The last time I went camping was in the 6th grade with my school to Camp Grady Spruce and I loved it. I would love to do it again but my people are not outdoorsy to that extent.😂

Love the cabin! Will you eventually build a porch? Moriah is still in her hiking hoodie. Must be warm and cozy.
@sam.and.moriah2 жыл бұрын
We will! We were going to do it this year but with winter approaching so quickly there’s no sense in building one just to shovel it all winter. Spring project (if we aren’t hiking ;)

Is the lighting LED, if not that could be a way to reduce draw from your battery.
@sam.and.moriah2 жыл бұрын
It is! Most decisions around here were based on limited electricity usage. On rainy days we tend to watch some tv and don’t get much sun so we plug the generator in

A little jealous here! Where do you get your cords of wood?
@sam.and.moriah2 жыл бұрын
We ordered them locally before last winter. Hopefully with our cut trees drying we will be able to harvest our own fire wood from here on out!

Yeah…that will do. You know how to do action and you know how to do relax. Dog hit the lottery.

This reminds me of a Cabin YT channel that only produces 4 videos a year a d has millions of views. Their videos are 1 to 2 hours long. I prefer much shorter videos like this one more often. Thank you.

Absolutely! Let’s get millions of views!!!

I love your house, but please put a railing on your loft and replace the ladder with a stairway. I know neither of you are probably going to fall off it, but not only will it be safer, but getting to your bedroom will be a whole lot easier. 👍
@sam.and.moriah2 жыл бұрын
The railing is on the list of things to do. Unfortunately we don't have a ton of space for stairs. Luckily the loft as our bedroom is temporary. We are planning on a small bedroom addition in the future and the loft will become guest bedroom/storage
@robynfinn14072 жыл бұрын
Is this the first I hear it’s permanent? If so…very cool!
@MaxZomboni2 жыл бұрын
@@sam.and.moriah Yeah, I can see your space is limited. An all wood spiral staircase would look really awesome and wouldn't take up too much room. You can order them custom made and just install it yourself. You could probably build your own, but they are kind of complex, so it might be easier to just order it from a professional and install it yourself. Even if the stareway is very small and compact, it would still make getting up and down much quicker and easier. The loft bedroom itself is amazing. I'm not sure I would give it up for storage. Either way you guys did a fantastic job on the house.
