So So good Chopsy! Thank you! cant wait for a post track day end of loan period review of the speedy 1200 rs. I am picking mine this Saturday. I honestly feel that the 1160 engine can do 200hp but triumph is holding it back via rev limit(needs 12k) and fueling quite a bit. There's definitely something there we might see from them in the coming years.
@markholroyde94123 жыл бұрын
LOL, there is no aero on it, it aint ever going 200mph.
@yashinnil50473 жыл бұрын
@@markholroyde9412 doesnt need to hit 200mph. its geared for a top of 280kph ish in 6th gear (6th is still geared at 1.19 so has room to be geared taller ) just that this engined fully unleashed should be a thing of beauty. I suspect its running a tad to lean aswell and that's with the super restrictive exhaust. Cruising on the high way I'm getting 22km per liter or 4.6 liters per 100km on a super naked. so we got some room for more fuel to be fed in for sure . all the dyno charts show the power going straight up into 11k rpm before getting soft limited so yeah this new engine.. curious minds wanna know what it can really do
@markholroyde94123 жыл бұрын
@@yashinnil5047 Like I said, THAT bike will never hit 200mph, its impossible it has not got enough aero, My 03 Hayabusa will only just do that with massive aero...you will know how good it is as soon as multiple runs runs are done down a drag strip, not a 40mph jaunt down the street, "Theories" are just that till someone actually does it.

@@markholroyde9412 he did say 200 HP not mph.

@@axeman6560 Ah, ok, my fk up, its easy to fudge dyno numbers so that will no doubt happen. My naked Bandit with a turbo made 260hp, best ever was 199mph, folk have no clue just how much more power it takes to get from 170 to 200mph...mind you most folk have never been 200mph....inc me LOL, 199 was its max.

I love seeing one of the bikes I own out on the track but I hate seeing it get it ass handed to it so brutally. You have got to get your chest down snd plated into the tank if you’re going to max wrist that baby snd stop sitting straight up; you sit up to slow down for corners. You don’t have bad form but you under use the rear brake , gallivant through corners you could easily dip into snd then open the throttle wud open with this bike. Thanks for the content but you could save yourself so much effort through the entire race with minor changes. Cheers to the 1200 RS.
@ragerider62833 жыл бұрын
Nice vid & great effort chops. The Trumpet seemed rather stonking on track but possibly just let down by it's electronics a bit maybe? Although either way it's bikes like this that are the reason sports bike sales are declining I guess as they're so good at everything.
@TheLiddleBigChannel3 жыл бұрын
The flat torque curve of the speed Triple RS even with stock gearing does a lot to hang with the 200+bhp bikes. If the lap record between a 600 Superstock and a 1000 Superstock is just a touch more than 3 seconds then the Speed can do a lot better still if you could spend more time at Oulton Park.

Those liter sportsbikes passing pretty hard at 115 mph a couple times. I've see 4 dynos online, and 2 of then were 164-165 and looked similar, but the other two were 150-ish and looked similar. Perhaps USA got a weaker bike again like S1000RR and CBR1000RR-R. Either way, without fairings you are a boat anchor at 100+ ... even 600cc will pass you eventually on an endless straight. I've only been to about 115 on mine ...
