@annabethchase Yeah I was on the fence about their relationship and then season 3 happened and Hopper was whining about how she wasn’t over her Bob, who died a year ago, and how she needs to move on. And only because he has feelings for her. Like sorry that her grief is not working on your preferred timeline Hopper. I thought that him having experienced a huge loss would make him more sympathetic to her grieving. Also he just does not seem to even consider that maybe it’s not just the grief but that she doesn’t feel the same way about him. And Hopper already had a great death at the end of the season and bringing him back was just bad writing.

if you're asking if 5 seasons was in the cards from the VERY beginning - no. season one was supposed to be standalone, with the duffer brothers potentially interested in making more seasons as part of an anthology series (each season following new characters with a new story). however, after it was decided that they would be following the same characters, i think (?) the plan was either four or five seasons, meaning that season five being the final season is on track. though if you ask me i don't think they knew where they were going with those four or five seasons :-/. some elements to be sure but other things feel very "came up with in between seasons in response to fan reception". edit - i want to give my two cents on the ronance ship, as a lesbian: i don't like it :-(. not only do i simply not see it, personally, but also it feels very. uh. "this female character that 'gets in the way' of my gay ship is a lesbian", if you get me, as well as "pair the canonical lesbian with the first girl she interacts with regardless of chemistry".

Also for such a physically demanding role as toph (Or Daredevil) it doesn't make sense to cast an actual blind person because the role would require them to actually see, given that they can both see. Just not with eyes. I can just imagine directing a stunt that requires the face to be visible.

Hey Amanda! I haven’t seen Stranger Things but I love your channel, and I can answer your question about Mormons haha. I’m not Mormon/LDS, but I grew up in Utah, so I’ve picked some stuff up. There are so many Mormons in Utah for causation reasons - basically, when the religion was founded in the 1800s, they faced a lot of religious persecution (mainly because of their practice of polygamy and because so many of them would move to a town that the locals were afraid of them essentially taking over the government). The founder, Joseph Smith, was actually killed in prison before they got to Utah. The rest of the Mormons decided to settle near the Great Salt Lake, which I believe wasn’t part of the United States at the time. They named their territory Deseret, but when it was purchased by the US and made a state, the government shrank the size of the territory significantly and renamed it Utah after the Ute Tribe. Now something like 60% or more of Utah is Mormon, and Mormon culture has a huge influence on the state. Polygamy was obviously outlawed, but the tradition of having lots of kids is still very much a thing here, and there’s a huge emphasis on traditional family culture. Most Mormons aren’t as crazy as the people in TSLoMW though hahaha

during bylers hype, it got really crazy. there was this whole controversy with s4 scripts bc the fandom rlly wanted to pick apart the subtext of byler’s interaction. so there was this one guy who would claim to have the scripts and charge for them to like “fundraise” to get access to them. but when it came to a particular script, it took a really long time to come out. like multiple times the release was pushed back. and then the fandom started to get rlly suspicious as to if he actually even had access to them or if he was writing them himself. and it turns out, he was. he was writing the scripts and posing as if they were official scripts. it literally took the official stranger things account to come out with the official scripts to reveal that the other guy was duping and fucking conning everyone. it was INSANE. the byler script controversy was a moment in time 😭. i remember being there for all of it. the hashtags were literally trending worldwide. byler was the last time i’ve had so much fun in a fandom just dissecting how byler interacted and how it could possibly be canon. (obvi i don’t really trust the duffle bags to give the fandom what they want but here’s to hoping bc i think it would make a lot of sense. regardless of if they don’t end up together, i hope mileven isn’t endgame bc eleven really needs to figure out who she is without mike.)

im not sure if anyone has said this or not yet but i believe the duffer bros intended for the show to be either a miniseries or anthology. there’s a really great video by friendly space ninja titled “The frustrating decline of stranger things” and they kind of analyze what was written at the time each season was in production. it’s all very interesting to think about, it’s hard to believe the series could have a satisfying end when the story being told has adapted so much. idk but here’s hoping 🤞

That's not actually true. Alex Hirsch always planned for it be two seasons, but he started to get burned out while making season 1 and almost ended it there, but was convinced to keep going to finish out the story.

Stranger things was meant to be one season. Or rather - an anthology of different stories. The story we have was meant to be one season to be specific So the duffer brothers basically had to pretend they had a broader plan in mind while they didn't. The five season thing also wasn't planned afaik Which shows, eg with the show departing towards random absurd comedy pretend horror in season 3, and annihilating the character growth of a few characters

i think about millie bobby browns whole situation alot and still to this day it angers me so much knowing what shes been though and i mean even while watching this video i have to say i was literally crying but i am so so happy shes married and finally (hopefully) at peace like she deserves to be. i just remember back in the day finding out about how people and the internet treated her, ive just always wished her the absolute best cause she really (and i mean this with my whole heart) deserves it. anyway amazing actress, amazing person and so so gorgeous and talanted. literally had to get it out been thinking about my whole life. thanks for reading lol
