They raised it to a level that a really noticeable difference is only possible after two console generations. Just look how PS1-PS2-PS3 evolved in between. After PS4 it's another story. Hardware is not innovative anymore.

Almost anyone considering this already has a PS5. They don’t need two. They’d sell their original. It will sell for hundreds. I think GameStop was offering 300 or more. That basically reduces the cost of the pro. The full pro price is the cost of just a video card for PC gaming. People buy those on the regular. This really isn’t a big deal.
