@@garywarmee4367 ... Summer Magic is/was HORRENDOUS. Very outdated and tickets were sold with insulin pens. NO ONE critically liked it and I'm sure it was when Miss Mills got fed up with Disney and couldn't wait to finish her contract there. Sadly no one mentions her sister, Juliette, who actually STUDIED acting and was very accomplished at it. Completely forgotten today.
@garywarmee43677 ай бұрын
@@infonut Yes, SUMMER MAGIC could not hold my attention and I don't think I've ever seen it through to the end. I like the movie title and idea of it better. But get this: I live in Los Angeles and a friend of mine just came back from a cocktail party given by Steve McQueen's ex-wife Neille Adams. I asked about it and he said "Juliet Mills was there with a man who was younger than she is and so attentive to her!" I guess I've become blaze about celebrities. That Stephanie Powers was present did not draw a pulse but the name Juliet Mills was like a lightening bolt! "Hayley!" was all I could think. So close to greatness(!) was my friend Stan. "That man must be Maxwell Caulfield who is her husband", I said. And so it was.

Yes Hayley is most definetly a legend but I can't understand why DISNEY have never given her a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. Why hasn't Hayley Mills got a star on the walk of fame DISNEY? She deserves it don't you think?

Rayleen, I agree, Hayley should really have a ⭐ star ⭐ on the Walk of Fame. ⭐. Her films are very competently done, and IMHO, stand the test of time....⭐ I really liked "The Parent Trap", such a sweet story. In the early 1960's, my Grammar school cronies and I sometimes saw Hayley from our home-time bus 🚃 , surrounded by gleeful pals, walking along near Elmhurst Ballet School, Camberley, (Surrey, England). I think most girls felt a pang of envy , seeing Hayley's success in films, and what good films they were, too. There we were, slogging away , overworked, precious little fun , and there was Hayley, living a glamorous life, jetting off to Hollywood.... (Sorry, but Lindsay Lohan's try at the same story ( Parent Trap) was IMHO, nowhere near as good as Hayley's... ah well, guess the writers may not have been as skilled, who knows ?) Anyway, the ⭐ on the Walk of Fame is long overdue ! What can we do about it ? 🤔. Who do we contact ?🤔. All good wishes from England.😊. 😊🇬🇧🌿💕🎹🌎🇬🇧🎹😊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

She's been my KZbin binge of late, and one popped up on my queue of her accepting an award in Disney World in 1998. Her speech was so heartfelt ; she said she loved being associated with people's happiest memories. That she is. Pollyanna is my favorite even though I am now 70 years old. As a youngster and teen, Hayley was my idol. I found out we shared the same birthdate, not year, but month and day. I thought that was the biggest deal. I’ve seen everything she was ever in that I could get my hands on. Not just her Disney work, but those films from the UK. One of the best tv series I’ve seen in forever was Wild at Heart which I don’t think we had here in America. After I heard about it, I searched it on one of the tv cable apps and I ordered the entire season. I’ve watched in twice in 3 years. Would love to have seen her in the theater. God bless you, Hayley Catherine Rose Vivian Mills! You are the best. 💜

I was given directions like go down one street and turn left on Dopey Lane(?) to get there. Different departments bribed me with gifts/Disney memorabilia in order to do their work first. Definitely a memorable two weeks. The girl I was filling in for, she snuck in her last name, something enterprises, onto a building in the Dick Tracy poster. She risked getting caught but I think it remained a secret, lol.

I am also a 'Mills', from the UK, now living in FL, and basically grew up watching Haley. This was a wonderful interview. Interestingly, my friend's father who owned a private bank in London, then called Seaton Trust, loaned Walt Disney the money to get started and believed in his ideas, when Walt could not get funded in the USA. So he went out on a limb to help Walt Disney. And to see Haley in those films, also being a Mills, somehow makes it feel like things went full circle when revisiting the past as this interview does!
