I've been in Montana for 25 years and I miss the desert. There is much I miss about the desert but that after rain smell is definitely a big one. And I'm a total barefoot shoes devotee! I've never tried Lems before but I love those boots so I may have to look into those! Thank you for the lovely evening!

Nice evening video! I'm up for playing Dudes! Puddles are great for playing Doodles! Wow, you're not kidding about rough roads! Wow, the swales look good. Oh boy, only wet towels! Big puddle in the "pit." I'm glad Trona likes to play with the Dudes. Cloud and Mojito are not figured out yet. At least Cloud joined in finally with the other dogs in the pit. So fun to see the dogs play! Thanks! Cool, Lems shoes. Nice shade structure for the goats. They are such ingrates. They don't use it! I'm glad you're getting to putting up the electrified netting for the goats to graze while the ground is soft. The dudes look played out. Cat on the roof was funny to watch. Nice shoes all! I have really enjoyed this episode. I am living in a dog deficit. My wonderful greyhound “Ground” passed over a decade ago. I am now living in a home without a yard so am unable to consider rescuing another. Yeah they get dirty and frustrate you. But dogs are just awesome. Thanks.

Planners? You all have cell phones. Sync all the Calendar apps and during one of your family meetings just discuss upcoming projects and events, and all of you will have it on your individual cell phone calendars. You can set notifications, and whether the event, chore, or project repeats, or not?

I use my planner as my diary. I have my highs and lows written there along with the times when plans got blown out of the water and why. I still use my phone calendar for the reminders, one day ahead and the next morning. I use a binder with graph paper in case I draw up a diagram of something I want to build, etc.

Calendar software is a pain for me...having to ask my wife to do it (oh, and I get smacked...lol). My daughter works in a restaurant and puts her hours on a piece of scrap paper and paperclips it to the calendar. Yes, it can get a little hairy with 5 family members. But hey! Each to his own! 😊

Totally agree about rain in the desert. You can smell it before it gets there. I found an essential oil called "Desert Rain" that was the closest to the real thing I have ever found. Of course, actually finding it among my things proves to be impossible, but I know it is here, somewhere!

The smell of wet desert is something so wonderful. I wish I could describe it. One of my favorite smells, along with being in a rain forest in WA state. Yuma hasn't had a monsoon this year, and it doesn't look like we're going to. We've had one good rain this summer, and thats it😒
