Fer Rodriguez I’m actually looking to get a wood hoop drum 🥁 by A&f. How’s the feel hitting the drum? Is the hoops a good height for the crack when playing rimshots? My fear is that they’re too tall or that I’d have to change my position from when I play their non wood hooped drums. Hopefully that makes sense.

Stuart, Jr Barrett I don’t own A&F drums (yet) but the feel for me is amazing, it feels so warm and punchy, extremely responsive. Just like butter. The hoops feel definitely higher when hitting with rimshots. I hit the hoops on the toms a few times before this video, I tried to adjust my style, but I guess it’s just a matter of getting used to it. Personally, I wouldn’t get hoops that high.

There are some haters out there, but how can you argue that sound? Turns out a good friend of mine knows the owner quite well. I'm so jealous of anyone that plays one. I think the royals kits sound unreal. I'll most likely have to make my own before I could afford one. What's your opinion having played them? Worth the price?

Yeah Ramy is a great human being, I met him a year ago at SXSW. I would say that it all depends on what type of sound you like. In my opinion these are the most beautiful sounding drums I’ve ever played in my life. So round and warm. You can definitely see all the passion behind every kit that they make. They definitely are worth the price.

Hey! Sure! It's a 10 x 24. This kit is not mine though, they had them set up at their showroom for SXSW. I'm pretty sure you can see more details on their website. www.anfdrumco.com
