Our family, avid snowmobilers with a passion for exploration, recently embarked on a snowmobile adventure to test our new Otter Monster Pro Lodge tent. This sturdy and spacious tent will serve as our home away from home during our upcoming family snowmobile expedition to the Arctic.
Setting out from our home base, with our snowmobiles loaded up and our gear securely strapped down, we were ready to put our new tent to the test.
After a beautiful day on the trails, we camp amidst towering pines and blanketed in pristine snow. The Otter monster pro lodge tent is set up in no time, so we wasted no time in setting up our Otter tent. Its rugged construction and innovative design made pitching it a breeze, and soon enough, we had a warm and inviting shelter to call our own.
Inside the tent, the wood stove crackled and radiated comforting warmth, creating a cozy haven against the winter chill outside. The spacious interior provided ample room for our family to relax and unwind.
Testing the Otter tent in real-world conditions was essential preparation for our Arctic expedition. Its durability, insulation, and ability to withstand extreme cold will be critical factors in ensuring our comfort and safety during our journey to the far north.
As the night fell we gathered around the stove, savoring hearty meals, warmed up by the wood stove, and relished the camaraderie that comes with shared outdoor experiences. Outside, the snow sparkled in the moonlight, a silent testament to the beauty and serenity of winter camping.
Our hot tent winter camping adventure was a resounding success, providing valuable insights and memories to cherish as we prepared for our Arctic expedition. With our new Otter tent as our trusted companion, we felt ready to embrace the challenges and wonders that awaited us in the frozen north.
The second day., we traversed an alpine pass that is normally covered in whitehout and blizzard like conditions. Today, we are lucky as we are snowmobiling in bluebird weather conditions. the wind chill is cold, but the scenery is phenomenal.

Never thought I'd be this guy. I ski snowboard bike and one wheel without a helmet. I respect your right not to wear one but its silly not to wear helmets on this kind of snowmachining. In particular, due to your remote location. Anyway, cool scenery.

Thanks for the note. We wear helmets most of the time. Helmets are important. This trip was a 'test' trip for our arctic expedition. Our arctic expedition will include constant cold temperatures, and for several reasons, we are not sure we want to bring helmets on that trip. For this reason we were testing out our headwear without helmets, as that is what worked best for Philippe and everyone he worked with in the high arctic. Cheers and thanks for watching!

It was quick to set up, quick to warm up inside, and it held the heat very well (compared to a wall tent), the size was big enough for 3 cots, a cooking area and the stove, with some room to spare for the dog bed. It's darker than in the wall tent, but we will bring a proper lantern next time, all the footage we shot inside was pitch black and unusable due to the low light. It was really easy to take down, and overall we are very happy with this first try. I have to figure out a way to install drying lines in it, as we like to hang up our gear at night to dry. we are thinking of a system with clips, but I am sure we will show it when we have it installed. In comparison to the wall tent, it's definitely a great alternative winter camping option!

Great footage,but I've never understood the reason for not using safety gear like a helmet and chaps when using a chainsaw .So much can happen,and quickly at that.I personally know of someone who's life changed in an instant from not wearing a hard hat while working on a skidder crew.😢
