I can totally see it being Brightheart, but I'm wondering if maybe it's Stormfur? It would be so interesting for an arc focussed on the Tribe rather than the clans, and I could see them wanting to bring him back after his appearance in Graystripe's Vow. It makes sense too since he feels far more like a returning character than any of the current elders.

I think it could mean the ghost of Graystripe, or Firestar, or Ravenpaw’s ghost could be important to the main character by guiding them through dreams- kinda like Spottedleaf did to Fireheart through death. But, this is just a theory or idea. Edit: I just realized that it would be cool if they also had cats like Smudge and Princess start to wonder what happened to them, and try to find their way to the lake to find Firestar and Cloudtail ( because Cloudtail is Princess’s kit)- I don’t know, it’s fun to think about. Or, like Spottedleaf, Yeloowfang could be important again, or CrookedStar- anything could happen!

BRIGHTHEART MY GIRL half blind ladies rise! Okay let me give some context. Im not fully half blind, but my vision is extremely blurry on the right side, and quite blurry on the left as well. I have glasses to help correct it, and im getting a much stronger prescription soon. I relate to Brightheart, having a vision disability is hard. Theres only so much you can do when you cant see very well. Its nice to have a character to relate to like that yknow?

My cat Tiger and I will definitely have a great time reading the book if it is Brightheart. Tiger is half blind and has tumors all over his poor little face. Him and his brother Patches (who was a runt) were going to be euthanized😢. Luckily, we got there just in time and saved them! Tiger was estimated to die in a few years because of his conditions, but somehow he’s survived to 10 years old! Me and him love reading together (well Tigers not exactly reading) and I’m sure he’d love to see another half blind cat in a book. Love you Tiger!

Thunder clan NEEDS way more cough a few more books as a main character clan but I want it to be wind clan coz we never get much of them even though they are. A biiiit dull. Maybe it’s Princess! She ventures out, determined to find her brother along with the clans. She stumbles upon the barn where she finds Barley. He tells her where to go and she eventually finds the clans by the lake. SquirrelStar accepts her, as she is her Aunt. Unfortunately, Princess is in a bit of a whorl, for her brother has passed away, along with his mate and one of her grandchildren. Though, she may find comfort in CloudTail, her son.

I’ve always loved swiftpaw even after the first arc where he was kind of forgotten about. if they could do it with barley, thornclaw or ravenpaw, they could make a plot with swiftpaw!

They didn't say that one of the central characters is from arc 1, they said that "we've been following their adventures *since* arc1" that means that they were alive in arc 1, are still alive today and have had interactions or reappearances in previous arcs. Anyone who's been dead or hasn't made frequent reappearances in previous arcs will most likely not be the character they're talking about.

They won't though, many of the newer protagonists are barely developed and then promptly dumped once the new arc comes out. The older protagonists actually resonated with the majority of the fandom and were developed with the intention of later narrative use. Unfortunately, characters like Twigbranch, Violetshine, Rootspring, Shadowsight, etc etc will never get to live beyond their main character experiences. They're doomed to be filler background characters with the intention of filling the space so that the clans don't "seem" empty.

I have a plot prediction for the 9th Arc, involving Firestar. So, Firestar is reincarnated into a kit, being in the same family tree (since Cinderheart is the reincarnation of her aunt, Cinderpelt) so for this let's say he's... the kit of Sunbeam and Nightheart. Daykit (aka Firestar, I just chose a random name) is revealed to be the reincarnation of Firestar by StarClan themselves, telling this to Squirrelstar. I might add more to this later, but here's what I have for now.

I say let her have the kits but be like squirrel take care of them but sleep in the warrior den leave them with Daisy at night and in the day feed them milk till their old enough to eat prey and then play with them in between your warrior duties simple

Barley was my first thought, but he's probably the oldest cat alive right now. I'm not sure what Brightheart would do since she's been an elder for quite a while now, though since Graystripe got some time in the spotlight in TBC, who knows? A few comments pointed out Stormfur, and he would also be fun, since the Tribe in general feels underutilized. Stormfur doesn't strike me as a "fan favorite" though. (Though when I saw the title I thought of Sol, though with the additional information, it's safe to say he's out since he is most definitely not a first arc cat.)

Firestar: he’s had too many special appearances already Smudge: we never have been following him down an adventure But someone we have… Princess! We’ve seen her a lot throughout the first series, she’s never had a big part, she’s related to firestar, she has a relationship with thunder clan, and she gave them CloudKit! My theory is that she’ll go looking for firestar. She finds out he’s dead and finds squirrel star! They become close bc they’re related! Idk what else

I want it to either be Barley coming to help the Clans because Ravenpaw's ghost wouldn't leave him alone (i personally like idea of Ravenoaw prodding all the way to the clans with stick, but all he saw was a floating stick) or Stormfur helping Feather of Flying Eagle choose between staying in the mountains with his family or going to ThunderClan to be with his "good friend" Flipclaw.

I paused half-way through trying to come up with my own list (barring StarClan cats as options) and came up with mostly the same list as you - EXCEPT FORGOT BRIGHTHEART SOMEHOW, yet considered Stormfur of all cats (?!?!). I'm using my hangover (and that I stopped actually reading the books except the graphic novels and some novellas in OOTS) as an excuse, ha, but shouldn't because her graphic novel was the last WC book I read and I did see the mug release... She absolutely makes the most sense as a fandom favorite.

I would love to see brightheart she is my fav character and personally I feel like she deserves more attention since they have her an injury and how she overcame it but after that brightheart just sort of got ignored. Same with one-eye(thunderclan elder) she lost an eye but she was often ignored. This is just my opinion btw

I feel like the only possible character that this would be would be Firestar. Fan favorite? I mean come on. He was there in the beginning, the middle and he'll be there at the end. Firestar is everywhere. Firestar is life. None of the other characters in the first arc are relevant enough to have an entire arc dedicated to them. The most obvious choice is Firestar. Since, all these characters have been dead for a long time the arc will probably have something to do with Firestar in Starclan having to do something. I'm alright with Firestar but I'd like to see thornclaw or brackenfurs perspective, but I mean COME ON. They have no character development, they literally cannot have an entire arc dedicated to them. Firestar is the only viable option and the hints they give in the article are so OBVIOUS.
