While the assembly process is fresh in my mind I wanted to share a few details .
I think the most important thing is making sure your horns and servos are secure . Check em now and check the before each flight .
The APC 14×8.5 seems to be the " sweet spot" for props with a 4S pack , I will be testing a few new 4S lipo's from Roaring top and I'm pretty excited to share there performance with you.
Thanks to all for your comments and subs.
Blue skys !

Guys ..I had some very serious seizures that left me with the inability to speak fluently at times . I know through some comments that this is annoying to some viewers, that said I wont apologize for this ...it is what it is...I'm lucky I'm still breathing. Thank you to those that dont feel the need to leave rude comments . Will-

@Old-RC PLANE-phart Some people don't have a filter, it comes to mind and falls out of there mouth before they can think about what they are about to say or how it may come across to others. My Grandfather was a drill Sargent & trained me that fought under General Paton. My dad left high school to fight in WWII , they where both amazing men, people..very strong mentally and physically. A heartfelt than you for you service ! 🇺🇸💪

Good luck on your surgery! I had a full knee done two years back. Was well worth it! DO the PT exactly as they want you to. Super important to get a good outcome! Love your common sense updates to the plane! As a old kit builder, I'd have done similar things!

I'm a little late but I just purchased this plane. I've been flying the Valiant 1.3 and it's a lovely plane. I'll be using you're video as a guide and you're other videos. A little different build on mine tho. An Admiral GP10 5030-400KV with a Avian 100 amp ESC which can run 3S too 6S with a Spektrum 8 channel receiver with AS3X and SAFE. It's what I've had lying around from another build. I know it's overkill but in speaking with Horizon they said it could handle it. I will be taking you're advice for going over the plane and also strengthening the firewall area with a couple of fiberglass sheets cause of the motor I will be installing.

I love the look of those wheels and hubs. Can you clarify what size they are, 3.5 or 4in ?
@radioflitercairplanes1715
@radioflitercairplanes1715 4 жыл бұрын
They are 4" Aluminum hub rims with 4"tires look great and make takeoff and landings a non issue in those patchy high and low poorly manicured fields. Stock wheels and pants eventually cause problems , pants get full of grass clipping and or dirt,they break . These big 4" are the way to go. I think Kavan , Sulivan and Dubro make a 4" wheel. May have to hunt a bit , to locate the Aluminum hub.

Nothing flies like a wood plane! 20+ years ago all we had was wood built. (Granted, getting back into flying 20 years later, was maddening! 🤪. We never had safe/as3x/gyro assistance. [I was so happy getting away from gyro assistance after relearning i could still fly! 👍]. Foam is so much better to repair! No longer taking home ur new plane in a 'thank you' bag🤯.) But, if ur used to foam nowadays, wood has the most solid, responsive feel u cant get from foam. 👍

hi i have two problems 1. the screws that hold the wing on seem awfully big for the holes they are supposed to fit so im wondering if theres something i missed because its pretty self explanatory. 2. im planning on using a 12x6 apc prop and 6c. doid you need a longer prop adapter to fit that apc prop because it seems i do.

Hey Jody Thanks for the comment. This and other ARF built in large numbers and as with many businesses time is money. Even the top shelf ARF kits from companies like Extreme flight,flat out recommend going over the glue joints in the fuselage in the areas you can reach. That section of fuse deal with a lot of stress..wing(s) landing gear, motor / engine box. It is VERY cheap insurance, but ultimately it is up to you. I FLY W/BIRDS AND I USE SMALL/MEDIUM LENGTH WITH HIGH PITCH.
