I spent four days traveling in the West Bank of Palestine in the Middle East. I needed a taxi to take me from Bethlehem to Ramallah, making some stops along the way, and I ended up finding one through a random and humorous series of circumstances.

Akko, as all that side of the world is pure history! You should continue exploring and seeing Caesaria. You will see a lot of interesting Roman ruins, if you are going back to Tel Aviv it will be worth the stop, or if you rather continue exploring up instead of returning to Tel Aviv, consider Rosh Hanikra, to visit the beautiful cave using the shortest and steepest cable car ride! 🙂

Hey Gabe, I’m a few videos behind, but in case you have not visited yet, I would recommend Masada and Megiddo. Masada would be an epic trek for a Mountain climbing guy like you (I took the cable car 😆) and Megiddo is where Armageddon is supposed to start (hope not 🤞). I was in Israel / Palestine a few years ago. Loved it! Keep up the great content 👍

Exodus (1960 film) produced and directed by Otto Preminger, stars Paul Newman, Eva Marie Saint, Ralph Richardson, Peter Lawford, Lee J. Cobb, Sal Mineo, John Derek and George Maharis. Acre is known locally as Akko. Akiva is arrested, imprisoned in Acre fortress, and sentenced to hang after the Irgun bomb the King David Hotel. The British authorities fail to heed a warning of the planned bombing which resulted in dozens of fatalities. Ari plots an escape to save Akiva's life, and free Haganah and Irgun fighters imprisoned by the British military. Dov, who eluded capture after the hotel bombing, turns himself in to utilize his bomb-making expertise to facilitate the Acre Prison break. Source: Wikipedia

Hey Gabriel, It was an interesting trip today. I have not been to that part of the world yet. I don't know if I will ever get a chance to go to Israel, but it is on my bucket list. I find the way you travel without a schedule, very interesting. I, on the other hand, like to have more of a set in stone schedule. I leave a little extra time, so if I see something interesting, then I have the time to take a little extra time looking at stuff. I guess it's what works for you is always best.

Hi Gabriel, when you arrived, the taxis in the area must have realized that you were from out of town and quickly wanted to take advantage of another tourist the Hawaii hat must have given that indication. There is much more of a chance of being spotted in a small town or city, some towns don't see many tourists so you're easier to spot. The younger guys have the advantage they know English and are persistent as a kind of sales representative selling their services.

These prices are much higher than here in Sweden, normally considered a very expensive Nordic country with high incomes. Here we have kebabs and fries for the equivalent of €10 at the local place in my town, pizza also about €9 or €10, falafel for €4, you can even find these prices in downtown Stockholm if you look hard enough, these are also the prices you pay for food like this in other expensive European countries like Denmark, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands and Belgium. Whats up with these Israeli prices? Do these people have twice as high incomes as western Europeans?

" Do these people have twice as high incomes as western Europeans" - No, we just barely manage with these prices n Israel. And it's not just for tourists. Many Israelis such as myself try to economize because we can't afford many of these expensive restaurant or coffee shops. There are cheaper alternatives but you need to know where to look. In Israel restaurants in tourist destinations are always very expensive. I bet there are much cheaper options in Akko in areas that are not for tourists. But all in all, Israel is expensive everywhere - supermarkets etc. And people struggle to get by here. Many cannot afford to by an apartment and the rent prices are also sky rocketing. Bottom line - many people in Israel struggle to get by.

Definitely not! And I've been to Switzerland many times & a friend of mine lives in Geneva. You can't judge the price of food from one expensive touristy restaurant. And he got swindled on the taxis. A simple google search would've shown him he should've paid much less.

A nation of people born from injustice Causing great sorrow in all civilized among us You claim your only concern is your security But, your true intent is plain enough for everyone to see There are Jews among you who detest what you do But their voices are muffled and they seem to be few You’re proud and you’re arrogant, malicious and clever You seem to think world sympathy is going to shield you forever Oh but the bed is too short and the covers are too narrow You can’t see the hand writing for your scope is too narrow Aggressive you have been since the day you were born From the anguish and misery of lives you have torn Israel oh Israel where will you be When the pages have dried on your history

Gabriel do you have mentioned the Muslims had invaded the holy land ,who was living there then .?and then, when you mention the Jewish people coming there, you did not mention that they invaded the land. I guess somebody was living there before that, too When the Muslims came there, the people who lived in that region in the time they converted to Islam, and the people who did not wanna convert to Islam or they stayed on their belief of their Christianity or Judaism To your knowledge, none of the churches, or the temples have ever been changed to mosques through the history of Muslims, liberating the land for people to convert to Islam, or for people, to continue the faith with the growth of how God have sent a profits through the history
