If you've been following the Gracie Diet for any period of time, let us know how it's going! If you don't follow the Gracie Diet, what diet do you follow?
@SpadaccinoLuciano9 жыл бұрын
GracieAcademy I have the book, and while I have not finished it yet, I do have to say it's the best diet I've followed thus far. But that's really just because most diets are too simple: i.e., "eat just this one thing" or "Eat healthy and work out" (no duh, right?). However Dieta Gracie did stand out because it not only allows going to restaurants, but gives examples of several popular chains and what to order there, which is great, because I love eating out socially. But what helped most of all was a bit of advice, when in the book it says that you need to think like a warrior, and imagine an enemy has sprinkled a colorless, tasteless poison over fatty foods to help you avoid eating them, because in their own way, fatty greasy foods are their own kind of poison. And that really does work. While it could be better (maybe offering specific examples of tasty meals and snacks to make?) I would definitely recommend this to meus amigos.

GracieAcademy Hello! Just wanted to say my life changed completly thanks to Gracie diet! I had a juicer and a blender, sitting in my kitchen, collecting dust untill I stumble across the Gracie smoothie videos, I thought to myself I will give it a try. Went down from 124kg down to 105kg in lesss than six months. I should mention, I train 6 days a week and I will continue to practice this way of life as it benefits me greatly! Thank you Grandmaster for sharing this valuable information with the rest of us!

VEGAN TERMINATOR Fact that they eat then don't eat for at least another 4.5 hours etc. That is probably my favorite one, cause I know if I eat when I don't feel like it it usually makes me not feel good. I do snack sometimes but only when I feel like it just not randomly.

I am interested.. to know what people know about negative blood types. If my mother had to have shots to have all of her eight children than how does this continue to affect her children for life? I have gluten-free diet and have to use raw sugars because processed sugar seems to stop my kidney and make me bloat. Doctors are puzzled why and do not have answers. SO I have had to learn by trial and error to eat right. Love pineapple and apples and love real fruit smoothies. They make me feel refreshed almost immediately. Damage is done to certain organs though and I know moderation and avoiding certain things will constantly be my fight. Its okay everyone.. courage to follow your stomach and your heart.

Like all specialized diets they come at a cost. Healthy eating these days is expensive.
@SyPer849 жыл бұрын
Ive called the Gracie diet for a while now and onely spend $60 a week. Before the diet I was spending around $100 a week on junk. It can be cheap it depends on how and what u buy

HIRE2HACK Like Henner said, you can either pay for it now or pay for it later on. Either way, your health is going to cost you whether it be money or sickness.

TooBerZerK In practical terms in this day of austerity, spending loads of money on healthy food is difficult for most people - depending on where you live.

HIRE2HACK Material things these days are expensive, video games, Air Jordan shoes, bling bling. Damn maybe if I ate different I could get em. Oh well no hope for me. Thrift stores FTW. Love fruit.

The belts in Brazilian jujitsu function differently then in the other Asian martial arts. They used to be almost the exact same but the Gracies instituted this change in belt levels to make students feel like they were progressing faster there's a whole history video on KZbin about it with all of the Gracies input you should check it out

Is "Gracie Diet" different than clean healthy well balanced eating? Just curious.
@Cyge240sx9 жыл бұрын
If it's anything like the diets that I've seen the other Gracies put out on KZbin there's going to be a lot of super foods involved like Acai gogi etc they're kind a like me in the sense that they live off of pineapple and watermelon coconut it's basically the freshest shit you can find

This is just another food-combining diet (started in the 1920s), with the "Gracie" name attached, right? Given our current knowledge, that different enzymes work simultaneously on digested foods, has this diet got any remaining scientific credibility? If so, does anyone have a link?
@Cin99998 жыл бұрын
well his diet is basically just "eat fruit&veggies and nuts/seeds but no gluten or soy...and a little bit of egs and chicken" which is pretty conform with modern science exept that the WHO would cut out the eggs and chicken joghurt would be ok maybe but only plants is the current studie base
