T-61 carried me through bronze, but it was a pain. I ranked out last weekend and cant be more happier reaching silver. Bronze started to have very very special players in all the battles I fought. Congrats on becoming a CC.

@@RazorwaveTV Ooof, Sorry bout that. My experience with the T-61 is limited, though I will say, the other day with a huge amount of luck and minute amount of skill, I turned a 4v1 loss into a timed out victory. She's a turd to sail, but that Hydro smoke combo is glorious.

Surprise BB pick for me would be Dunkerque. Abysmal AA, middling health/armor, but you get full DPM at all times except running away, and the reload is good. Spotter for range boost plus dropping over islands. Maneuverability is enough to juke DD's (and the DD's at this tier are usually played terribly.) Shinonome is another one. It's free to get and lets you slap your 21pt OG IJN captain into the middle of a T6 battle. Nine 8km speedy IJN torps is pretty brutal.

I think you are generally correct in your recommendations. On the US server your recommended ships are among the most commonly encountered (except the Perth which is rare by nature). I gave my Perth a lot of time yesterday, but I have to say she did not shine as I expected. I agree she has the right combination of abilities to be very effective, but I found the quality of your teammates usually dominated the outcomes of games. Perth doesn't have great DPM, so you will need support against BBs and other cruisers, and if your teammates cannot coordinate their fire her efforts are often inadequate. And her Walrus spotting plane can be helpful, at the short ranges she is often forced to fight at, enemy ships shoot it down quickly. Too many amateur DD players on your team smoke up to protect themselves and then no one is spotting. Perth's hydro is very short range, so she isn't great at finding and killing enemy DDs hiding in smoke either. The Bronze league has been very frustrating this time around, with teammates mostly made up of inexperienced players (i.e.

I personally had some succes with Mutsu because of its' secondaries (if you didn't know, all Japanese 140 mm secondaries have improved dispersion ).

CV-Bearn, Lowenhardt, ark royal. BB-Fuso, Bayern, Izmail, Repulse, Renown, WV 1941.(most BBs work) CA-None, they are DDs with citadels that also, eat pens, from 283s and above and the HP gain is not enough to offset this. DD-T61, Farragaut, Fushun. (T61 and Fushun are all rounders, Farragaut is a superb gunboat with excelent handling and low profile.)

Good point about cruisers in this Ranked season! On the US server they are generally the least common ship (BBs being most common) and they definitely struggle to be effective when they are expected to be in the fight against swarms of DDs and BBs. The games get lopsided very quickly if one team is not fighting effectively and it forces the CAs into fights that really raise the stakes for them. See lots of Gokases being reasonably effective at mid to long ranges with their speed, long range guns and torpedos.

What a pleasant surprise! Perth is DEFINITELY the best cruiser for T6 ranked. Devonshire is also a pretty good pick. If you don't show broadside she can somewhat tank against other cruisers

I had amazing time with the perth. I glanced over it at the start, and was SUFFERING. I had back to back matches with me dying at the start, and two of my go to ships were in battle so I picked the Perth. 2 days later I'm in silver.

With the popularity of light cruisers in ranked, pensacola has become a S tier pick, mainly for its ability to overmatch many of the cruiser bows while tanking most BB rounds (mutsu, QE, and the rest of the 380mm +bbs, but there arent many,). she has enough speed and a rather decent acceleration to deal with DDs. AP has ok pen but the cracked pen angles like a DM, her HE salvo alpha is high; the only thing that sucks about her is her god awful turret traverse. Not the best cruiser, but one of the best to deal with the meta.

Repulse with the speed and hard hitting guns. It's speed is like having extra armor pool. It's my go to this ranked season. Perth and Mysore are formidable farmers given their smoke. T-61 gains soo much with it's hydro.

Wait, you rate Izmail A tier?!?! We put it down in F tier. The armor is AWFUL compared to most contemporaries, it has a low health pool, a huge above water citadel, its only strength is the guns. Now admittedly the guns are INCREDIBLE, but I really don't know, I feel like it belongs down with New Mexico more than up with Fuso, Renown, Repulse, Warspite, etc.

Honestly I don’t think the Izmail is really that good becuz she tends to eat goofy ass cits while angling at 45-50 degree angle against 26mm overmatch which is very common in this ranked season
