Finally!!! Was waiting for an a-ha reaction to come along 😊❤ They are incredible musicians and yes, they sound amazing live. Most only know them for Take On Me but they have made over 10 albums and are still performing today, with new music coming out all the time. I'd love to see you react to something that really showcases Morten's vocals. He has the voice of an angel 😇

The synthetic bass lone is reminding you of Stevie Nick's "Stand Back" written by Prince. Very similar synth bass that was in his "I would die for you".

The beat of this one has got to me every single time since I first heard it when it was released. As for songs that might remind of it or strike a similar vibe, there's early a-ha contemporaries Alphaville's "Sounds like a melody", and not to forget the elephant in the room, so to speak: U2's "Beautiful day", which U2 has confirmed was inspired by "The the sun always shines on TV" and paid homage to when performing "Beautiful day" in Oslo 2005 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4aqaXWPpNSssJY).

Manhattan skyline ( bellissimo anche il video ufficiale) Early morning ( live NRK 1991) Memorial beach Cold as stone Summer moved on ( live in Vallhall) E poi vedrai...

This was there second single and the film clip follows on from the events of their first film clip for Take on Me (if you're not familiar with that film clip - you really need to check that out). Take on Me is a great song, but in fairness probably their weakest single. Aha were and are awesome. The Sun Always Shines on TV is brilliant and the film clip is amazing. They had so many amazing songs. I suggest you check out Hunting High and Low, I've been losing you (my personal fave), Train of thought and the Blood that Moves the body. Back in the day, they didn't really get their due and were dismissed as being just 'pretty'. BUT today Pal is largely regarded as a musical genius (he wrote most of their songs and lyrics), Mags is considered a brilliant musician in his own right and then there is Morten - one of the most beautiful voices ever recorded. Morten appeared on the Masked Singer UK version - it's definitely worth checking out his work on that. Aha are that magical coming together of super talented people that we only get every so often. Unfortunately, their wider body of work is largely ignored these days in favour of Take on Me - again a great song, but they were and are so much more. The Sun always shines on TV is a much darker song and really highlights Morten's voice. Great stuff.

The reason they used the mannequins - they wanted a crowd originally, but it was going to cost too much to assemble that many people who would be willing to stay there for the video shoot - so they used the mannequins instead.
