This documentary synthesizes the latest research on the history and archaeology of ancient Israel from the beginning of the Iron II period until the sixth century collapse and the end of the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah. It explores the interplay of the text with archaeology and discusses the major historical events of the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah as well as the significant historical artifacts which tie into it including the Mesha Stele, or Moabite Stone, the Tel Dan Stele, the Kurkh Monolith, the Black Obelisk of Shalmaneser, the Samaria Ostraca and many more.
