I’m from the Igbo tribe, but as kids, we moved up north and saw the Hausa tribes. We use to call the fulani’s “Michael Jackson’s” cause they looked as good looking as him with the Afros and their women are beautiful. They embrace Islam and we had a security guard that was soooo humble. People say Islam is bad, being catholic, I say, Islam is peaceful and beautiful. People just use religion as an excuse... on a last note, I respected the Hausa girls in school... they are all so beautiful. Living among them opened my eyes. It was fun!

Hausa people are originally from modern day Nigeria - Hausaland. They settled in Sudan on their way to and from mecca, they also settled in other west African countries like Cameroon, Ghana etc. during trade. They created what they called “Zongos” which is basically a settlement community for hausa’s in the foreign land. Hausa people did not come from Sudan, but the original hausa people may have actually migrated from northern Africa and settled in hausaland centuries ago.

One more thing 95% of the picture people used in making this video are from his Kingdom, Argungu emirate, the only hausa kingdom the great fodio sokoto caliphate faild to defeat, This is to tell you what a warrior kanta and his children are. It's really gonna be easy. Let's start it this way: ina kwana? Meaning good morning

I started learning Hausa about 2 weeks ago. I’m using this app called Kabimba which teaches Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba, and then there’s African storybook.

Great information. Just note (sound pronunciation of your phonetic of the African Names and Places)

I'm so glad you mentioned them. A lot of Hausa deny having cousins here in America yet can't explain why Chadian Arabic scripts were seized from slaves in Carolina. Lol to any of you who think my Mende,Yoruba,or Ibo ancestors were fluent in this writing system ,I have a hard time picturing my Bambara ancestor adopting a Afro Asiatic writing system seeing as how they absolutely hated anything related to North Africa or West Asians .they even built elaborate walls to keep them out of their lands.

Mende people could read and write Arabic because they were Muslim very early on.

We are not denying anyone outside Africa that says they are part us hausa rather we are happy our brothers outside Africa found out that they are part of us...we are very humble and hospitalise people everyone knows this in and outside Nigeria

Brother we do not denied our brothers who where carried out to America for slavery we really feel and like them dearly so feel at home when you come to Nigeria your home.

Another good exposition. Hausa's are also in Almost all West African countries. They are traders and black market money changers Unlike the Fulanis who are usually Normads and pasturist and raiders the Hausa's settle down in their adoptive country and do reside in the Zongos like you've mentioned

@HomeTeamHistory Here are some good suggestions: 1) the Chamba of east central Adamawa, Nigeria and western Cameroon, 2) the Kingdom of Kongo of Modern Congo and Angola, 3) Anziku/Teke Kingdom of modern Republic of Congo, 4) Luba and Lunda Kingdoms, and 5) Mina of Benin and Togo

Hello everyone. Loved it! I actually belong to this ethnic group myslef and lived throughout my life in the place and actually I'm a writer wanting to right a fictional book based on this people. However it's a hard task nowadways many of my people are flushed with the western cultures (no offense) and so I need help gathering all the resources together. Basically I need help. I will appreciate it if anyone or the sponsors of this channel can offer some advise or help. Thanks it will mean so much.
