Small correction: a haz 5 bulk explosion does up to 68,000 damage with 4 players, not 64,000. (Not that that difference in damage really matters.)

@@Balazs1102_ It's one of his armor upgrades, on a tier where it's the only choice. Engie gets poison resist, driller gets fire damage resist(mostly useless), and scout gets fall damage resist at a lower value of 30% compared to the other classes' 50% resists.

The starting droppod resist is very helpful for when you happen to get dropped on a crassus detonator that instantly explodes. It‘s happened to me before.

I honestly appreciate your weapon breakdowns, as they include a non-overclock suggestion. As a greenbeard with no promotions (and therefore no overclocks) it’s nice to have a base to try a weapon on. Can’t wait for a vid on the Driller and other Gunner primaries.

Just wanted to let you know I think you make the absolute best DRG content. Well thought out with a scientific approach. You don't just go with "I feel" or "I think". You dive into the numbers and actually run tests in controlled environments and the actual missions. IMO, it gives your judgements the most credibility. Another game I enjoy playing is AoE 2, where there's also A LOT of numbers floating around, which can be hard to make sense of. Another KZbinr, Spirit of the Law, does this awesome scientific breakdown of stats, units, etc and how they actually play in game. I'm a sucker for that kind of content. You remind me of him. 1:14 "but it's a stupid idea" oh boy.... That sounds like mission control. Then veterans are now including this strat to their Gameplay. As a last ditch option when everything is going south in a mission. Too many Opressors, patrol bots, a swarm is coming and you're the last one as gunner woth low ammo. A legendary moment to be sure.

It's also worth noting that the gunner's shield takes a second to be in full protection effect. So if you are like me and have tried to shoot the bulky and panic-button-drop a shield, the explosion will still kill you if the shield is still charging up to its full size. So it's better to time it right and drop a shield precautionary (mine lasts 9 seconds), sit down in it - rest a bit - maybe play some dice - and let the fully charged shield take the explosion hits when the bulk explodes.

Its a joy for Carpet bomber, Neurotoxin and full AOE Hurricane builts. Now its not only the secondary carrying the single target damage. But yes, getting surpassed by the alternatives in general purpose intended for gunner grenades.

The bullet nade actually does very high damage to large targets. Incendiary is good for swarms, true, but the bullet nade can absolutely shred praetorians, oppressors, bulks, and dreadnoughts.

I've never been afraid of bulk detonator explosions imo. They seem fun and I often run a Lil closer to land myself in that sweet spot just outside the blast range but too close for the fragments to land on me

If ur testing season 3 stuff soon while this might be a coincidence in a game my teammate got downed but was surrounded with the lingering rockpox smoke from the rockpox glyphids. Seeing this and a lithovac nearby I decided to try and suck it up and to my surprise it worked. It could very well be a coincidence but I figured it was worth mentioning it here (don't feel obligated to test this cause if I cared that much I'd do it myself).

Stupid idea? If it works, it's not stupid. I do it all the time with gunner, especially in Salvage Operations where we have to defend ourselves during uplink and detonator shows up in the party. Granted, i have get downed for few times but for the most part, it works like a charm.

There was some notes today about fixing damage values for fire and ice bolts. What was broken, for how long, and should we expect more or less out of them? Anyone got an idea?

Before fire/ice bolts gave -25/-25 damage/radial damage. Now they give -50/-0 damage/radial damage, so all the penalty was moved to direct damage but it's still -50 total. In general, you shouldn't notice much of a difference.
