Integration is the way!!! Looking forward to seeing Passive Optical Networks replace network switches in the future. Also fully integrated Electromechanical Acturators

Hi when you guys going to demo your flight with the weight of 4 passengers, a test flight you guys can put any dead weight just show us if your plane can fly 220 miles with 1000 pounds …
@frankyflowers
@frankyflowers Жыл бұрын
that isn't possible. none of them has even taken the weight of one person up for 5 minutes. there is a wall

is the flight controller a pixhawk in a custom case? yeah it is.

What you now do is integrating solar cells like those of BEV car manufacture Aptera. You should be able to get an extra 10--15% boost in range. You can cover the entire plane with cells. To be honest just license it from them since they are looking for licensors.

Why still so huge and bulky? it's just light compute and low speed communication? why not a tiny board with a chip in a snap plastic case? it's comparably to what a quad drone controller does, right? just has to be reliable and a couple of modes of flights. Why does that require any cooling?

Certified aircraft components need to be robust enough to withstand things like temperature and pressure fluctuations, vibration, different types of RF interference, etc., as well as provide redundancy and a plethora of other requirements to ensure the flying public is getting a safe product. If you find a way to fit all that within a tiny board with a chip in a snap plastic case, please DM me and I'll consider investing :-)

@@RyanPlate the lighter the easier it takes vibration. if it must be fire resistant that can be done in a small size too, as can redundancy. the needed communication and compute for such an application is about as low as they come. there are ultra low power cpus, they need no cooling. if that module is only for comms, no power electronics for the motors, I could easily make it 200x lighter.

Its so sad that all this development of innovation in flight with electric VTOLs and jetpacks and drones came at a time when beurocratic machine has degraded so much that it is no longer possible, even in theory, to get through it in any reasonable timeframe at a reasonable cost.

What are you talking about? They aren't making wicker baskets. They're making a new type of aircraft, and if they screw up, even slightly, people die.

they can't even lift the weight of a person or show an unedited flight. bureaucracy didn't stop their progress physics did.
