Having grown up on a farm, I can attest that rubbing wheat in your hands as a means to remove the husks (chaff) then blowing those away to leave the wheatberries (edible part of the wheat) to eat a little bit of wheat you find in the field is pretty common even today.

Oooh, I've been doing a lot of research about the Qur'an (check out Saint Murad for reference to what I mean). Have you ever tried reading the Qur'an from the Rasm in an Aramaic lens? Apparently there's a lot of things hidden! Prof Gabriel Sawma, Dr Gunter Luling and Christoph Luxembourg have discovered a very different meaning when the "Arabic" diacritics are removed from the text and interpreted through Arabic. One finding has been a hidden Christian Hymnal. The other finding is incantations/ spells 😮 Don't take my word for it, look up Saint Murad!! Shalom my Brothers ❤

I read in one article that the variant is also in the old Latin. But the same article clearly not realising that it was in other gospels too, is the basic method of manual grain extraction and seemingly also forgetting that Christians still exist stated that "it is not known if the rubbing of the grain has any religious significance"!

Is old syriac the same as Aramaic or just closely related?

They are close but not the same, Syriac would be considered a dialect of Aramaic.

Click bait headlines aside, that's an interesting find. I've never seen a double palimpsest before, not that I'm an expert on the subject, but still, I've only ever seen ones where texts used were erased only once. There are several that contain multiple works combined into a single new one. The variant, interesting as it is, doesn't warrant their sensationalist headlines, though.

Pastor Dwayne, Always enjoy your videography. Your sense of clarity is a gift from the Holy Ghost. It comes from a discerning mind. It may be good for us to know about this manuscript. One thing is certain...if it happens, you know the Almighty allowed it. I do not trust it at all. Just look at the source. Imagine the thoughts of the one to first write over the bible text. WOW. Thank you for doing all the work to put this together. I know how much it takes...thank you Pastor. We thank the one who knows all. God's best to you sir, in Jesus name.

the Old Syriac precedes the Pehitta in the same way Baptists have apostolic secession. That is to ay. IT doen't. At least Old Syriac Siniaticus doesn't. it specifically bears the mark of Rabulla who referred to his own work as "the Ewangilion d'Mepharshe (the seperated gospels), in juxtaposition to the Diatesseron.

Pompei has evidence of Christianity so prior to 79 AD. And you had Peter and Paul there so the first gospel after Greek was Latin. It's called common sense. Everyone knows you have to rub it.
@rampartranger7749 Жыл бұрын
The NT was Greek, but early on translated into Syriac and Aramaic. Josephus translated the Latin Vulgate 2-3 centuries later, called the “Vulgate” because Latin was, at that time, the common tongue, the “vulgar” tongue, in Italy and much of the western Mediterranean.
@morganfrmn Жыл бұрын
Not true the actual oldest text is Latin. Christians were extremely early in Rome. And they wrote. Very foolish to think nothing in Latin came before the vulgate

You had best leave the study of how the Bible was written to someone more qualified. Stick to being a pastor.

Is there a certain level of 'qualification' needed in order to look into these issues, does being a pastor disqualify me from determining how the Word of God which I preach on a weekly basis came down to us?

@@Dwayne_Green You have no level of qualification. What you said about "rubbing their hands together" coming from another gospel, is rather stupid. No proof whatsoever. We should believe the Bible as it was handed down to us.
