It's really interesting to hear all the praise you had for Ghana. As a Ghanaian we complain about these same things you complained about happening in Nigeria. I believe Ghana is making efforts but not perfect at all but glad we have given such good impressions. I guess we Ghanaians should be more appreciative.

There is one thing about some Nigerians not all though they hate to hear the truth especially when it comes to where a small country like Ghana is being praised it irritates them but you know what you guys should learn how to embrace good criticism in order for you to correct your mistakes and mover forward as a nation and people that would help you and your country and Africa at large. I love Nigeria I love a great country Ghana and I love Africa, thank you.

Yeah but the thing is Ghanaians don't also want to take their faults even if its said nicely..they always make ur seem like we are attacking them...and this video I was watching was a Nigerian one..so they commented and she came and started with how Nigeria was a bad country and that Ghana is better. No one replied her except this AA so she stared talking and talking and said very wrong things even to the point of insulting Nigerian women. All in all I love the beach that she mentioned. I had been there when I was a kid...

Why are some Nigerians upset about miss grace’s observations? It’s HER observations and God has given her the right to express them. I think she is being very respectful to both Ghana and Nigeria. If you want a country to improve you must face the reality of the situation. Nigeria should be the powerhouse of not only Africa but of the world. Yes the government is corrupt but also the common man. It is up to the people to make a change by the way the act towards one another. The fact is Nigeria is corrupt from the top to the bottom and people love money more than their fellow brothers and sisters. If you love Nigeria you would want the system to change and not hide from the truth.

Max K Absolutely, there’s corruption in Ghana, and even the United States is not free from corruption. However, it’s not deeply rooted and pervasive like Nigeria. Rule of law is allowed to work and offenders are prosecuted. The problem with Nigeria is that, politicians and most people are not patriotic, everyone is about themselves until that perception changes, it will stay the same.

My unsolicited take on this as someone who was born in 9ja to Ghanaian parents and have love for both countries is that, Gh and 9ja have this love-hate relationship just like any sibling rivalry. However, I think both countries love and respect each other and that's what counts.

Let not forget that it has been a long and painful way to get all that our sister is being witness to. In the 90s everyone had to reprimand anyone that will throw papper, junk on the street. If you are in the cab and throw it out, the driver will stop and make you to pick it !!! And today, the results are there... It was the hard work of all Ghana : civilian, police, gouvernement, medias, medical staff... There are now electricity and water continuously, acceptable behaviour in driving, clean foods, neat clean streets, ... Thank you my sister for being so honest. And please don't hesitate to say the negative findings too whenever you get accross them, so that can help to improve. Merci beaucoup. God bless

Great!! I'm guessing your experience surpassed your expectations. Which is cool but I'm not surprised by your experience though. The truth is, Lagos is overpopulated. Considering its the smallest state in Nigeria with the highest population. Lagos population is just six million less than the entire Ghana population. Hence the reason it wasn't so packed unlike Lagos. This is why I am an advocate for state laws and federal laws. Just like in the U.S. let each state develop and govern itself. All the natural resources of each state should be use in developing their respective states. Let each state generate its electricity as well. In general, *most* Ghanaians are more calmer than Nigerians. It's a well known fact. On top of that, there's more unity amongst Ghanaians than Nigerians. Maybe because majority of them speak their local language called Twi.

All your observations about Ghanaian are on point, and some of the inconveniences you noted in Nigeria as compared to Ghana, think about it this way, geographically and population wise it will take Ghana seven times to be the size of Nigeria, so when it come to organization a person who has one child compared to one having seven which of them do you think will have it easy? Even though that may not wholly be an acceptable excuse. Also you noted well not all Ghanaian's speak English I personally noted that as far back the year 2000, was interacting with Nigerian lady and she made a comment why can't Ghanaian's speak English, she may sound as been sarcastic, but that was a fact. Ghanaian's with different tribes just like Nigeria, rather use the akan language mostly as lingua franca, also even though Ghanaian's speak some broken English that is also mostly limited to secondary schools upward and even that teachers in Ghana constantly discourages that. Ghanaian's will always want to speak Gramma. We don't also want to speak broken English.

I am not sure if you are 100% right ...part of what you said is true ..but dont confuse downtown acrra and accra ...try NIMA , NEWTOWN (LAGOSTOWN ) , TSHOKOR ,MAMPROBIE ,KASOA ETC..and lets have this conversation again ... No question that we are moving on the right direction... But we still have a long way to go

Thanks for the compliments about my country. I have also noticed this about Ghana as I have also visited a couple of countries . I like it when as visitors or citizens we make honest and constructive remarks about ourselves. Such honesty helps to bring the best out of us. In your video it appears you're in the driver's seat.

Ghanaians do not like honest views. They simply want praises and vague validations such as this one. The thing Ghanaians loathe to do is honest introspection

I visited Nigeria from Ivory Coast. I was surprised of how badly Nigeria was ran. I finally understood why in francophone countries, they call Nigeria "Le géant aux pieds d'argile". That was over 10 years ago. Hopefully things have improved since. * Le géant aux pieds d'argile = the giant with clay feet.

@@africanstoryteller Thanks. You are a good girl and stay that way. I love your comments about Ghana. If you speak your truth about Ivory Coast, believe me, I would love it too. We should not be afraid of talking about what we saw in our countries, as well as in other African countries. I would never say that Ivory Coast is perfect... lol.. It’s interesting that some things that should be common practices across the world are shocking like waste bins in the streets and traffic stopping to let people cross the road. We need to raise our expectations and Africa ( which has the most resources worldwide) needs to become the super power that it is. Also, Ghana is not an English speaking country. The most common language is Twi but SOME people speak English, as with most countries where it’s not an English speaking country.

Not a bad observation. We have our own issues though, Ghana still has a long way to go. For someone who was born and bred in Nigeria, 20 years in Nigeria before moving back to Gh. Let me say this, Nigerians are amazing people. Y'all didn't even make me regret my stay in Nigeria, Nigerians love Ghanaians more than Ghanaians love Nigerians, this is truth, argue with whoever you want to argue with. Yes, there are a few bad Nigerian eggs, but there are also plenty of bad Ghanaian eggs too. It's just sad that the few are used to judge many. Ghanaians are amazing, peace-loving folks and we love Nigerians too. We have a beautiful relationship, so please let's not let a few comments bring enmity between us. And please, Ghana is a "Twi" speaking country, lool, we love our language mehn, so my dear Nigerians, learn the language. After all, I speak Yoruba. 😉 . We appreciate your observations.
