I had read and researched for a few weeks. After hours and hours and days of becoming convinced, I decided I should go to a Mass. So I watched videos all week so I would understand what was going on in the Mass. Like the guest said, when the Priest held up the Eucharist, it was like something I can’t explain. At that moment all doubt and fear about converting just washed away. I went back the next week to see if it wasn’t just emotion but low and behold after a year of coming into the Church, i still am in awe.

You love conversion stories so I’m going to share mine with you. I’m a Jewish convert to the Catholic Faith. I was converted by a dream on March 12,1990. Suddenly I realized Jesus is real, He’s alive, He loves me, and He has all the power. I fell in love with Jesus. I got on my knees and said “Lord, I’m yours, body and soul. Do whatever you want with me.” I asked Him to find me my church before Easter. The Lord led me all over the place for about a month. Then on Good Friday, i was led to the Catholic church in my neighborhood. As I pulled up in front, I felt a tremendous peace come over me, and I knew I was home. There was a Good Friday service. Then I went to Mass on Easter Sunday, and continued going every Sunday. When I found out there was Daily Mass, I started going every day. Then somebody noticed I always stayed in my pew during Communion, and told me I could go up for a blessing. I was reading the Bible, and later I remember saying that just from reading the Bible, if the Catholic Church hadn’t existed, I would have invented it. I don’t mean that irreverently. I mean I saw it all in the Bible. I continued to read more good Catholic books, went to SCRC conferences, and started in RCIA. I was received into the Church on August 22, 1991. Not at the Easter Vigil - the pastor asked me to wait because they didn’t think I was ready. God gave me the gift of Faith and He also enabled me by His Grace to be obedient. I’m so grateful for that. I still go to Daily Mass and I thank God every day for my Catholic Faith. I wish everybody knew what a tremendous gift it is to be Catholic. Please pray for the conversion of Jews and Muslims. The Lord converted me instantly, like St. Paul. Never lose hope that your children (or anyone else you are praying for) can receive the light of Truth in a split second. Just keep praying.

@@tony1685 Hello! Yes, I believe in the Scriptures, but I also believe that it's important to have reliable interpreters of Scripture, or else error may spring forth. A big reason I have converted to Catholicism is researching how the Early Church interpreted Scripture. The Early Church is a credible source. It turns out, they believed in very Catholic concepts like the Eucharist, the communion of Saints, the Office of the Pope, the need for Tradition and Scripture to sustain the Church, among others. Since I discovered the Original Church was the Catholic Church the entire time, I realized I have no good reason to be a Protestant. There are many resources available for you to research on the Internet. I encourage you to read up on this stuff for yourself. God bless you :)

Sooo many Protestants are understanding the importance of our Blessed Mother Mary. That is why I switched over to Catholicism, too. THE LOVE, FORGIVENESS, EMPATHY, COMPASSION, DEVOTION, DETERMINATION, FIERCENESS, AND COMMITMENT OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MOTHER MARY IS LIKE NO OTHER. IT TOOK A FEW YEARS, THOUGH, BECAUSE THE CATHOLIC PEOPLE I MET AT RCIA WERE NOT KIND OR GENEROUS TO ME OR THE OTHER NEW PROSPECTIVE CONVERTS. I dropped out of RCIA back then, and found the Blessed Mother Mary a few years later, this year in 2024. Through the Original Church, I discovered that the Catholic Church is more of a feminist than any other denomination. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for sharing, with this post. The Magisterium of the Church stems from both the apostolic succession as well as the unity and catholicity of the belief drawn from that deposit of faith, a unity that also stems from the communion with the successor of Peter, rather than just succession from various apostles. It's key to understand that the Petrine office is shared by all bishops in communion with the See of Peter. This substantially explains why the autocephalous Orthodox churches are not truly catholic but are in fact national denominations by language, liturgy and tradition. I am always in awe of converts, for their courage and openness to the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Like many others here, I'm inspired with gratitude for your journey to the universal Church. 🥃🥃

It is just simple ,Exodus 25:30 Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times., The bread of the presence in the Old Testament was poinitng at Jesus Christ real presence in the Eucharist. This explains why when you enter in every catholic church where a tabernacle is, you feel the presence of someone there , JESUS is always there waiting , as soon as you enter the presence of the tabernacle, you are compelled to become reverent , BUT enter any protestant church, no one is there, it is simply like a main Hall or a theater, You literally feel Nothing unless some people are there singing.

I am not sure why professing Christians use the term 'convert' to say that they went from one church to another church system. Scripture only uses the word 'convert' to show that a person has been translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His marvelous light. There are those who say, "It's about history!" I say, "It's about Jesus." Those who say, "It's the Magisterium!" I say, "It's Jesus." Those who say, "It's the traditions!" I say, " It's Jesus." Those who say, " It's Mary!" I say, "It's Jesus." Those who say, " It's Peter!" I say, " It's Jesus." Those who say, " It's the Pope!" I say, "It's Jesus." "I am determined to know nothing among you except Christ and Him crucified."

That he is completely ignorant of historic Protestantism was immediately apparent as he trotted out one erroneous statement about Protestantism after another. Paul, Protestantism is 7,957 verses used to support Evil for the protestant to survive. We had Nazism followed by communism and Protestantism failed both times. In 1942 Prague was ordered to be made "Judenfrei" and Catholics walked with their Jewish neighbors to Thereseinstadst, then to Dachau to die, you didn't. 96% of the religious prisoners in Dachau was Catholics, not protestants. When the Jewish neighbor tapped on a protestant window he was given Romans 13, to obey Hitler. Under communism protestants was not arrested, nor sent to the uranium mines or made enemies of the people, Catholics were, you always found a verse and we noticed, The Secret Police the StB knew their enemy and it wasn't you, as they said, "Bibličtí křesťané jsou jako pytel prdů, mohou smrdět nám a komunistické straně, ale vždy najdou verš, který nás nikdy nezpochybní."
