A One Month Old Ecosphere With Lots Of Biodiversity

Life in Jars?

Life in Jars?

Күн бұрын

This is the one month update on the ecosphere that is very biodiverse. In this video we take a look at how all the plants and animals have been doing inside this closed ecosystem. There's a lot of plants and most of them are doing really well and have grown a lot. Some animals have been reproducing and we even discovered a new inhabitant, a dragonfly larva. So quite a lot has been developing in one month in this closed ecosystem in a jar with a large biodiversity.
Enjoy!

What a lovely, colourful and seemingly happy biosphere this has become. It was nice to see it in sunlight...and to see the dragonfly nymph doesn’t always win. I think this may well be one of your best ever...even though the poor tubifex couldn’t find a dance partner...much less a rave this time. Thanks for always being a bright spot when you post.🖤🇨🇦

Thank you for uploading. I just had my first day of high school and it was terrifying. Not because there was a lot of work or people were mean, but because I’m an introvert with social anxiety who didn’t really know anyone there. Now today I’m supposed to set up my school email and google classroom account and I don’t know how to do that which is stressing me out. Haven’t watched the video yet but I know I’ll like it. I was inspired to try and make my own little ecosystem in a jar and it has gone well. I'm not going to close it though because I don't want to just observe the ecosystem I would also like to care for it. It's 10 liters and the biggest animals in it are amphipods, bladder snails, and I don't know what they are but these little things that kinda look like a combination of fan worms and sea anemone are showing up on the glass. They don't look much like fan worms but that's closer than sea anemones and I can't see a little worm body inside what would be their tube of they are worms but they do retract their little fan when startled. They're really small and they're translucent, the fans being completely clear while the rest has a brownish tint. They are my favorite part of the ecosystem since I wasn't even aware that something like that existed in freshwater.
