First time I've heard 'Amen' as a question. He says it the way some folk say 'Am I right?'. Better yet, no one answers.

Yep I was thinking that myself, also it makes him look like he is trying to convince himself as much as the audience.

Could someone please buy this poor man a book on Church history? I've never seen such a distorted example of history right off the top of this pastor's head.

That's an interesting interpretation of history.

Gotta love the "Trail of Blood" folks.

Oh, The Trail of Blood. So much error in such a small book. Church history by Indy Fundy=100 pages. 2000 years of Christ's power volume 1of5, actual history=450 pages.

I don’t think today’s Baptists would like to be associated with the Montanists. The Montanists called themselves “New Revelation” or “New Prophecy.” They were called Montanists because of the name of their founder and chief Prophet: Montanus. Montanus called himself “the Mouthpiece of the Holy Spirit.” Montanus and two women prophets named Prisca and Maximilla would fall into trances and spiritual frenzies speaking in the first-person voice as if God or the Holy Spirit was speaking directly through them. Because of the excesses of the Montanists, the early church moved away from supernatural utterances such as tongues and prophecies and other signs and wonders. - Olson, Roger E.
