I really do think we have gone backwards with all of these Class 800's that they all seem to be buying these days. Those old Mk3's had much better seating and were a lot smoother and quieter!
@TRAlNVlDEOSАй бұрын
@@FrontSideBus yes, sadly they are more focused on reliability and power cost to operate which are what the class 800s are good at.
@FrontSideBusАй бұрын
@@TRAlNVlDEOS Didn't they have to get a load of IC225 sets back into service because of faults with the 800's? So much for reliability lol.

the 47 was pretty standard really as smoke is concerned , u always got a nice little flume of black smoke on departure . The south end of New st would be masked by a fog of flumes if one was really ill back in the day lol and it would take several mins to clear ! Great vid

A propper train at work as theyre built better in England and they locomotives & carriages was built to last not like the tin can foreign crappy trash built in Spain by C.A.F! nice old-school duff & sparky class 86 action as the sound of class 86s trashton motors & cooling fans brings back some good memories of being at Manchester piccadilly as a kid in the early 1980s! nice puff-puff choo-choo train also! good video 🥰

I hope she's enjoying her retirement. The 47/7s were worked hard up here in BR days, non stop all day on high acceleration/hard braking services, so hard that every A exam (55 hours in traffic) they had the brake blocks replaced, way more than any other loco.

Nice to see real trains at last steam, desiel, and electrics with proper carriages Mk 1s , Mk2s and Mk3s .Like one of the comments said better than all these foreign tin cans.

Terrible livery for the 86! Why the white paint around the cab windows and roof?
