Love your channel, Russell. Been watching several of your videos over the last few weeks, then saw something I recognized in one of your trips through town. I've lived in Chicago for 20 years now, but 30 years ago, I used to do monthly Ottawa trips from the Big Smoke and always got off the 401 to take Hwy 7. Your videos remind me of home. I miss it and the unique Muskeg smell of the air that doesn't seem to exist south of the border. Thanks for doing this.

Hey Logan and Levi from Western NY. I live in a small town south of Rochester NY. My favorite summer thing to do is Geocaching and kayaking. My mother, my daughter, my granddaughter and some nieces and friends kayak on a nice lake called Candice lake. There are no homes for the most part all the way around the lake. So mostly woods all the way around it. It is a reservoir for Rochester. So no motorboats on it so it is perfect for kayaking. To top it off there are geocaches all the way around so I can do both my favorite things with my favorite people. I love watching Russel ,City Girl and the pups because he makes me laugh, they live where they aren't bothered by nosey neighbors, and you can get your kayak wet anytime!

Love the video as usual. Love the rocks too. I have never seen a rock that I did not like. I am always picking up rocks and bringing them home with me. Here in my part of Mississippi we have sand stones that are big in just some places. So big rocks just talk to me and want me to take them home with me. Even at almost 79 years young, I obey and bring them home with me. Love the view from your place as it is always so beautiful. From deep southeast Mississippi.

I just knew from the fluctuations of your recent weeks that you were in the process of devising something new and amazing. Your humorous dialogue seems super to maintain our interest. Educational television back in the 70s used the idea for the kids-hour between 5pm and 6pm. This gave the mothers peace and quiet in the kitchen to prepare dinner. The dimensions of your character are thus given a new leeway for the creativity of your interaction. Good thinking Mr. Russell.

Hi Levi and Logan! So Russell, what's up? All the snow around my area is gone, even most of the parking lot snow. Getting my gardening stuff in order. I built a second raised the planter, then rigged up an overhead structure. Clad it with snow fencing so I can clip on my greenhouse plastic. I even got soil at home depot. 🙂👍👍👍👍

Levi and Logan, I enjoyed the tour of Raspberry Rock with our host and friends Russell and City Girl. I found it very educational and informational. My favorite parts were when he informed me and shared tips with the drone and how to use it in videos. The scariest thing for me is the frozen pond, it's safe for the most part, but it can also deadly where it's thawing it's very dangerous. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did 😊👍 KCK 🇺🇸

I to love rocks. Your quartz crystal rocks are beautiful. You are an excellent drone operator. Sorry, I am not Logan or Levi and I just had to watch your beautiful scenery around your cottage. "Hi There, Logan and Levi!" Hope not to see you again soon. You made this video lots of fun. Also Russell please be careful on that ice. There are always hot spots. Take Care! For perhaps millenia the Inuit people have built Inuksuit on top of steep hills bordering narrow valleys in order to channel and lure Caribou on their migratory routes. From a distance these cairns often resembled a human form. The Caribou would be decieved and drawn into hunting areas strategically placed at the head of the valley. The naturally curious animals would come close to the archers who were hidden behind these lichen-covered rocks. There, the hunters would have ample opportunity to increase their food stocks tenfold. After a particularly successful hunt, a new Inukshuk was sometimes erected to mark a food cache of excess dried meat to be hoarded for future lean times for the Inuit people. Inuksuit have been built all over the Arctic regions by Inuit and there are some still standing today from prehistoric times about 8-10,000 years ago. Some are as high as 10-12 feet. They were not necessarily all built like a standing person. The Inuit used the rocks that were lying on the tundra, ranging from huge boulders to very small stones. The rocks were carefully chosen and even tiny stones were used to keep the larger rocks balanced and in place. They marked sites of spiritual significance, gathering places and were keepers of cultural tradition. Ultimately through the changes to Inuit lifestyle, the Inuksuit have now become mainly landmarks and a direction marker on the vast, featureless tundra of the Arctic. Today, small Inuksuit are still built to indicate routes for travelers and are a welcome sight when finding a way on the land. Inukshuk is the Inuktitut word representing the human form figure. Inuksuit is the plural of Inukshuk.

My favorite parts of the video's are from beginning to end...Russell's laid back attitude and sense of humor, city girls sweetness , and down to earth wisdom and quiet charm, willow and junebug's playful energy and loyalty, the beautiful drone shots, that show us the peaceful beauty of the surroundings...so much serenity wrapped up in beauty, the everyday tasks that Russel gets up to, and city girl too, and all points in between. Its just an all around simplicity of life, which i could totally get used to in a minute's time. Im grateful for being able to just relax and enjoy these wonderful video's!!! Too much?? I can't imagine what it is like to live in a frozen environment for 5 months , and yet I'm living in Scotland at 55 deg North. Damson, plum and pear blossom are opening here, although some of the daffodils have keeled over with the last two nights frost, as the wind swung into the north after the sunniest March on record in Scotland ( data back to 1919).

Oh, OK, so the other side of the pond is north. So, your dock and your cabin shore get the southern exposure and therefore the most sun. So that's where your garden tub containers should go. You got me good on the ice thickness. Were you able to see the northern lights?!

OK, I was right the first time! The pond's north shore gets the best southern sun, so that's an ideal location for garden tubs, though "across the pond." Your back porch then gets the best sun. OK, I'll stop now ....

Greetings from a remote island in the Shetland Islands, UK. Me and my wife watch your videos every morning while having breakfast; still haven't worked out why yet! ;-) Hahaa! Must be a meditative fing or that it's good to see that other people sometimes get it wrong! Either way, we enjoy it but can't always like every video because of, well - never mind - but hey, is there any way you can run a dehumidifier in your cabin? Even a low powered one would make a difference, especially if you're drying stuff in the cabin. On the Shetland Islands we run dehumidifiers as it's so damp and it costs more to heat a wet room than a dry one... maybe you wouldn't have enough power? Either way, we watch you every morning.

Well! When you said for me to leave if I were not Logan or Levi, I left!! So, I did not officially see any more of the video. HOWEVER, if I HAD stayed, I would have really enjoyed the drone footage most. I just love aerial photos. I was nervous about the closeness to the trees AND the strength of the wind IN those trees. Not sure I would be totally in command in stronger winds. One thought did come to mind though, I would not fly close to a tree that I could not climb to the top to retrieve my drone, if I had to.. (been there, done that) I also liked City Girl's watchamadoojiggie on the shore there. I'd like to know more about that. (like what IS the name and purpose of it) I really would have enjoyed every second of this. IF I had stayed to watch after I was told not to.. Regardless what the truth may be, This video is grins. I was grinnin the whole time. Thanks Russel, City Girl, and a shout out to Levi and Logan.. All the best, to all of you. Thanks for not chasing me off when I hung around.
