I fucking LOVE this game, sure it's not a typical Starfox game, but the visuals, the characters, the world, it's fantastic, and there's always Starfox Assault to remedy this, Assault is a great pairing to this game, Adventures acting as the finally modern Starfox game visually, and setting up Krystal's intro to the series, so when you play Assault you're already familiar with the idea of a Starfox game with ground gameplay, yet also familiar enough with Krystal not to be confused by why she's in Assault. The 2 games work so well. Assault as the more traditional Starfox game with fun new element like the Landmaster and on foot combat, and Aventures as just a cool intro to Krystal and RPG game.

It really might end up being that way. What's a shame is that in the age of Roguelike's and lites, it would be very easy to adapt the gameplay of Star Fox and the model set forth all the way back even in Star Fox 2 and it could be an incredibly interesting title. There are still a lot of options they could run with, but I'm not confident we'll see anything for a bit. Krystal, like many characters from Dinosaur Planet was going to be axed by Rare from the final game. It was Miyamoto's decision to keep her in since he wanted an attractive fox girl in the series. It would also explain her limited time in the final build.

Lol it would also explain the "sexy time" sax music that plays when Fox first sees her. That scene goes from serious and eventful to weird so fast.

One thing that is a big misconception about Star Fox Adventures is that Miyamoto didn't just say "Cool game! Make it Star Fox." A new SF game was beeing produced alongside Dinosaur Planet, but after a long trip to dev hell that made them scrap the starfox game and just fuse the best ideas from both projects to make a game for the Gamecube, Star Fox Adventures was born.
@Zerbraxi Жыл бұрын
Yeah I tried to make the comment there that "the details change depending on who you ask" because even internal developers at Rare have told different stories of the events over the years. However, after now having played the Dinosaur Planet prototype for about 6 hours, and have seen more of what it is in the prototype's code as available content that is playable, I'm really curious to see what things actually came over from the Star Fox game that was being worked on because SFA is VERY close to Dinosaur Planet in a lot of ways.

Ahh, Adventures! The game with super graphics, super bgm and terrible gameplay. As far as tough challenges are concerned, the most dreaded part of the game for me was the krazoa challenge of fear. Trying to keep the bar within the boundaries was very hard and I had to laser-focus on the meter so much that I couldn't enjoy the visuals. I would also fail it so many times and be forced back to the beginning of the temple every time, too, which made it frustrating. As for that strength test you hate, here is a tip; momentum can help make it even easier. From my experience, it seems that the rate of spin from the totem itself adds a hidden dynamic to how easily you can recover when you are being pushed back. Allow the big guy to push you back a bit, but not enough to knock you over. Next, start jamming the button like crazy. The resulting speed of the totem's spin will be harder for the brute to recover from as he nears the pit and will knock him into it. It kinda sucks that Krystal didn't get more play time in this game like she should have. If they had just kept the switching between two characters in this game. Not only would it have made more sense, but I would have enjoyed seeing a hot furry babe bashing baddies' heads in with a staff. Meanwhile, Fox himself would blast them away with his awesome array of blasters and cannons. Seeing what a flying dino companion could do would have also been a nice addition, kinda like having a dino drone.
@Zerbraxi Жыл бұрын
Krystal not being more involved is probably the biggest sin of this whole game. Especially when you consider that she actually never gets to shine in the entire series...like at all...ever! If not for Dinosaur Planet I'd honestly have like nothing to say about Krystal at all but her setup is clearly good but never paid off. It's a real shame.

I'm just disappointed because Dinosaur Planet almost certainly would've been another Rareware n64 banger. Taking Miyamoto's offer to make the game a Star Fox title was a pretty safe move financially and publicly since they were in a bit of a struggle at the time and it was a new IP, but it also put Star Fox in a weird position because now the next game had to somehow appease the OG Star Fox fans and the new fans of Adventures, and ever since then the series has sort of been an inconsistent, rocky mess. I really wish that Star Fox would've had a natural evolution from Star Fox 64's gameplay and that Dinosaur Planet got to remain and succeed as it's own franchise. I don't think Adventures is a terrible game, but I definitely don't think it was worth what we possibly could have had in the grand scheme of things.

Good luck on a Turok series review if you ever do that. I’m assuming you’re truly ecstatic for the Nightdive Studios remaster of 3. Hopefully they also get their hands on the prequel because under the various issues with controls, checkpoints, and some other issues it seems to be a really good game. I’ll definitely play those games once they go on sale. I LOVE just how crazy and stupid the game’s premise is. It’s too bad the series is now dead. They look like so much fun. You’d think that with the resurgence of Boomer Shooters and Neo-Boomer Shooters like Doom 2016/Eternal that we’d have a new entries that takes the best ideas from across the series and builds on it. We NEED more weird games like that.

Part of the reason I'd love to do a Turok Retrospective is actually because I haven't played most of the series but I always remember loving what I did play when I was younger. Embarrassing fact, but I didn't even know there was a Turok 3 until like a year ago....yikes huh? I love exploring these series where I haven't played every entry but I have a "rough" idea of it because then everybody can kinda chime in and either set up my expectations or mess with me about things. This happened with Golden Sun The Lost Age for example which I hadn't played before and everyone's enthusiasm for it made me like it even more! However, based on the recent poll I threw out there, Turok easily won so it's definitely happening now. I just wanna wrap up Star Fox first before I start anything on Turok since I'm so close to finishing the Star Fox series. Just finished the last of the 9 endings in Command last night :)
@shreksnow1918 Жыл бұрын
That’s interesting. I have a similar story in regards to Half-Life where for a very long time I had yet to play the series. But, it still had a really big impact on me because I’d watch a bunch of lore videos, some let’s plays, Half-Life 2 Beta recreations, and some other things. The Half-Life series was pretty ingrained into my psyche and because of this Doom 3 was my favorite of the Doom games because the overall tone and set up was basically Half-Life 1 with demons instead of aliens. The Aliens series is also something that had a big impact on me despite the fact I’ve only seen one of the films, and bits and pieces of some others (mainly because as a kid I wasn’t allowed to watch rated R movies, and I just haven’t gotten around to it as an adult). I’ve watched numerous lore videos, played a few of the games, read several comics, and my cousins had the action figures. There was also this really cool AVP Minecraft mod I really liked. There’s some things like that where even though it took me a long time to experience the main thing they still rubbed off on me. Recently Turok has kind of been doing that. I’ll DEFINITELY play those games when they go on sale. Good luck with those videos, especially on the 2008 one that tried to be a mashup of different shooters of the time and failed miserably (assuming you do that🤣🦖). I think a big chunk of why I find Turok so appealing is because I LOVE the Lost World setting/genre because I watched the Peter Jackson King King a bunch as a kid, and that weird Land of the Lost movie with Will Ferrell (that movie is so atrociously bad it’s good😂). Good luck on the rest of your Star Fox retrospective. It will definitely be good to have that past you. Fr what I’ve heard Command is really fun, but it gets repetitive fast so you only want to play it in short bursts. I watched a let’s play and aside from story beats not logically lining up with your ingame actions it was fine for the most part. Most of the characters acted like they normally do and it would’ve been a decent sendoff for the series. Unfortunately, the terrible endings and the sections with Krystal tank the game. I don’t really have to go into detail why because it’s pretty self evident. Good luck on that video. It will be interesting👍

I really think that this game had so much potential to become a classic that would masterfully close the life cycle of the Nintendo 64 by pushing the console to its limits and that would be fondly remembered like other RARE classics like Banjoo and Kazooie, Conker Bad Fur Day and Perfect Dark. It's really a shame that they decided to turn it into a "Star Fox Game", the Star Fox elements in the game always felt rushed and poorly fitted into the game's environment and I really hated some decisions like cutting basically the entire campaign of Krystal and imprison her in a crystal to fully focus on Fox Mcloud. It's funny that I had a lot more fun playing the Beta of this game for the Nintendo 64 than Star Fox Adventures on the GameCube, I hope that someday Dinosaur Planet can suffer the same fate as Star Fox 2 and that we can play this game with its vision original.

_Star Fox Adventures_ is such an odd mess of a game when you look at its development history. It began life as an original IP at the tail end of the N64's life cycle, but Rare was pushing that aging hardware beyond what Nintendo thought possible. The game was featuring fully-voiced characters and cutscenes along with a story and characters that had a surprising amount of depth and potential to them. Rare really wanted to make their own adventure game that could stand on the same level as Zelda. But then Rare's higher ups took Miyamoto up on the suggestion to transition it to a _Star Fox_ game and everything went sideways. First they had to redo parts of the story to make it fit within the new series, then they had to transition from the N64 to Gamecube, then they had to start cutting tons of content to ship the game two days before they were bought out by Microsoft. At one point Krystal herself was almost cut entirely to save time until Miyamoto encouraged Rare to keep her in (and change her appearance to give her more "sex appeal"). It's a miracle the game looked and played as well as it did given how much was altered in development. For as odd and divisive as _SFA_ is among the fans I still think it represented the right path forward for the series. Although I had great times with the rail shooter gameplay of _SF64_ I found myself coming back to the series because the setting and characters had that charm and promise of an ongoing adventure story that most Nintendo franchises don't even bother to try. I'd honestly rather see Nintendo give _SFA_ the reboot treatment that restores the original game's narrative and work it into the setting better rather than yet another retread of the first game. In fact, there's been enough interest in a _SFA_ remake that two major fan game projects have already taken up the task. The one I'm most intrigued for is rebuilding the entire game in Unreal and combining the original _Dinosaur Planet's_ story and gameplay with modern refinements. This includes revamped Arwing sections, better on-foot combat and exploration, and Krystal having her protagonist status restored and working alongside Fox to save Sauria. The creator even got Estelle Ellis to reprise her original Krystal role for this project.

The story behind the development of the game is equally as interesting as the response to it. It's truly the culmination of so much that either lands as a love it or hate it scenario. I also would love to see a return to this style in some capacity. It would be controversial yet again, but even a hybrid gameplay setup with Adventure and Arwing sections could provide to be an incredible experience. I mean heck, an NES game called The Guardian Legend did a very similar thing with Adventure and Rail Shooter gameplay where you back and forth and it's actually awesome!

I was born in 95 and got this game when I was 6 or 7. Naturally this was my introduction to StarFox and I loved this game. As a kid without the context of the StarFox franchise or Dinosaur Planet I think this title really could stand alone as a very enjoyable adventure. As an adult with that context I totally understand the complaints. I think it’s disjointed but still a very enjoyable title on the surface. Also I will never forget being at my grandpas house trying to get him hand my dad to beat the test of strength since I couldn’t do it myself 😂

I'm a bit obsessed with this game, and as far as I know I'm the only one to bother modding SFA (as opposed to DP). There's so much left in the code that tells you the game is really only half finished. About 50% of the maps were deleted. I don't know if both characters were meant to traverse the same dungeons (instead of Fox doing each one twice) or if there were meant to be more. You mention that it was originally meant for two characters, and in fact many levels' animation scripts refer to Krystal specifically. They just did a check to apply it to whichever character is active. It's pretty evident from that and the general clash of styles that they just merged both storylines and then cut a bunch out. Meanwhile Fox is still named Sabre in his files. There's a lot of leftover models, objects, voice clips, and sound effects too. You can tell there was major time crunch. I get the feeling the finished game felt rushed not only because of having to rewrite the story, but also because of changing console, and because Rare always got too ambitious and had to cut a bunch of things. Rare's extensive use of the same stock sound effects as everything else ever was definitely one of their weak points. The music was always fantastic, but the sound effects were awkward. I mean, they work, but it's so strange to hear a horror movie trailer using the same "children laughing" sound as Diddy Kong Racing, or that one "whoosh" sound that's in everything ever. People overlook the fact that Tricky is a child and a dinosaur. He can't really speak; there's a translator involved. He's basically a clever dog. The only thing that really bugged me about him was sometimes his breathing was too loud and sometimes he got in the way. The Test of Strength is an odd one. Everyone finds it either absurdly easy or absurdly difficult. I looked at the code and unfortunately, the only "trick" to it is mashing as fast as possible. It's just very unforgiving if you aren't perfect. Fun fact: the game has so much in common with Jet Force Gemini because it's the same engine. It's also used by Diddy Kong Racing and Mickey's Speedway USA. The maps are still called tracks internally.

If I knew how to make a meme, I would post one here of the joker saying “Mario goes from rescuing princesses to driving go karts and nobody bats an eye. But pull Fox out of his Arwing and everyone LOSES THEIR MINDS!” Why is it that Mario can make any type of game there is and it’s seen as a Mario game but Starfox has to abide by these extremely narrow parameters of expectation or it’s not a true Starfox game? I don’t care if it wasn’t originally intended to be a Starfox game. Super mario 2 wasn’t originally a Mario game. That doesn’t mean the definition can’t be expanded. I wish people could just get past that and enjoy this game for what it is. It’s in my top 5 favourite video games of all time. Also, the detail in things like Fox’s fur was way ahead of its time, at least for Nintendo. I honestly feel many Nintendo games don’t catch up to it until the Wii u era.

I don't think you'll find anyone fight you in the graphics. This is probably the best looking Gamecube, easy top 3 contender at the very least. For me, my original hesitation of what Adventures was years ago, compared to Mario, is by this point we only had 2 games, one of which was a remake. Yet another 3d adventure game wasn't all that exciting when the primary genre Dtar Fox was a part of still had a ton to explore. Sure, at the end of the day it turned out, "fine", on my opinion. I guess I didn't play the game until I was at least 16, which is already half to adult, but I didn't see the Lightfoot Test of Strength as "too unbeatably hard". NO, THAT particular oscar goes to the TEST OF FEAR, my absolute BELOATHED. What I do like about Adventures is how well they had tied Krystal into the later games then, but with Star Fox Zero rebooting the entire franchise once AGAIN, they do make a reference to Sauria, but Krystal is nowhere to be seen, which I do find kind of a bummer because I do like her and her being a part of the Star Fox team. Also Assault should have gotten a better sequel than Command tbch... It absolutely WOULD have been nicer to see her an Fox interact more and maybe even save the planet TOGETHER instead of her being discount Zelda recycled IN SPACE and OR even play the original Dinosaur Planet as it was originally intended by Rare.

Looking at the Dinosaur Planet demo I'm going "What was Miyamoto thinking?" Just because Krystal was a fox, he wanted it linked to Star Fox? What a mess. I would have played the heck out of their initial draft of the game. I loved this game when it came out and a lot of it was due to how fun it was to play, though I could tell straight away that this was not a good Star Fox game. I was and still am a bit like you, standing at that fork in the road and seeing both sides of the argument. I had a lot of trouble completing the game as a kid because of all the backtracking, I would get bored and walk away from the game. My favorite thing to do was swimming and using the staff tricks to do all sorts of weird shit, I don't actually have a firm memory of facing Andross so I wonder if I even completed the game. I was probably 11 years old when this came out so its possible I didn't. Nonetheless I do think that its beautiful graphically, I found the gameplay a lot of fun and really inventive. Rare also did a really good job of animating Fox's face so that he's recognizable but still able to communicate through facial expressions. That's not a small feat so they deserve credit for that. SFA is strapped somewhere in the Mediocre Valley. Not good enough to be great but not bad enough to be interesting. Poor Rareware.

Adventures was the first Star Fox game I played. Because if this I didn’t experience the jarring shift between it and 1/64. It’s crazy to think it’s 20 years old now. Wow! I really liked Adventures because the gameplay was fun for the most part. The music and graphics were super good. I really liked how it added Krystal and built up Scales. Too bad he wasn’t the final boss (Andross shouldn’t have even been in the game). Unfortunately, the Arwing sections weren’t super fleshed out and there were various drawbacks. A dinosaur world/land can easily be crammed into a lot of settings, but the fantasy elements clash too much with the sci-fi focus of 1/64. I’m of the opinion that for a sci-fi setting to have fantasy elements they should be there from the beginning like 40K and Star Wars. Stuff like telepathy and James being kept vague as to whether or not he’s a ghost, actually there, or a hallucination are fine because they don’t really rock the boat. Even though I loved Adventures, I think Dinosaur Planet would’ve been the better game. The story is so much better, I really liked how Krystal and Sabre had their own quests and traveled to unique areas. The lore with the Krazoa and Drakor’s species was interesting. It’s really too bad that we didn’t get this. I would’ve loved to see where the story could’ve gone in potential sequels. Thankfully we at least have the rom and like you said the community has been continually fixing/improving it. Haven’t played it yet because I don’t have a very good computer that can run emulators, and I don’t want to play a buggy mess that crashes all the time. It will be awesome to see this thing once it’s done. It’s really too bad that Rare was bought out by Microsoft and turned into what it is now. There’s so many great ips left dormant. I know this next part will piss off some people, but I’ll say it anyways. When Goldeneye came out of GamePass I was excited because people have been hyping it up. Then I played the game and reaction was “this sucks. I’m going back to Halo and Half-Life”. I’d probably like the 360 Xbox Arcade version more since it’s a CoD clone and CoD games are fun. Great video. It will be interesting to see your thoughts on Assault (favorite game in the series. Too bad they didn’t build on its formula).

@Zerbraxi Good luck on the Assault video (You should include the clip from e3 where they showed it off as a fps and it got booed and was later changed to a third person shooter. I wish that they would’ve added in the option to toggle between first and third person). Assault is definitely my favorite game in the series. I really liked how you could jump in and out of vehicles. I just wish it was a little bit longer and there were more rail sections. I remember for the longest time I assumed it was the last game in the series because it had this feeling of finality and I didn’t think they’d try to make a game that would top them fighting bootleg Borg. Then I learned Command was a thing and the story for that is a complete dumpster fire (it’s sad because from what I’ve heard the gameplay was really fun and had it been handled better it would’ve at least been a good send off for the series). If I could have any of the Star Fox games be remade it would be Assault. A while back there was a rumor about a potential Assault remake. But, that was based entirely upon people having wild speculations that Namco putting out a job listing to remake GameCube games for the Switch could potentially lead to that. Even if that is true we won’t know for several years and it could easily be canned halfway into development. Something I’d like to see in a potential Assault remake would be a side story that shows what Bill and Katt were doing during the game (there could be a starting mission where they also take on Andrew’s forces while Star Fox deals with them. One set on Corneria as it’s being taken over. As well as a space one where it shows the fleet being destroyed before fleeing towards the end. It would also be nice to see some Star Wolf missions). I’d also love to see more maps, playable characters for the multiplayer (if that was online it would be a blast), weapons, vehicles, and other content to better flesh out the game. Too bad that almost certainly won’t happen. I can see that about Goldeneye being a product of its time that is nostalgic for a lot of people. There’s some games from my childhood I really liked that people now aren’t big fans of. Or certain small aspects of games that haven’t aged well, but like you said they set the foundation for more to come. If you want more Star Fox content that isn’t official there’s two really cool fan games you should check out. The first is Star Fox Event Horizon made by UndyingNephalim/IceCreamMan. It’s a reimagining of the 64 continuity that uses characters and ideas from all three reboots. It’s a mod for Freespace Open, which is an open source game so it’s 100% free. Last year the guy got in contact with Krystal’s original voice actress and she’s going to do voice work for his game. He also found Bill/Wolf’s 64 voice actor to reprise his roles. The SNES/64 arc is almost done. The guy just has to add voice acting and rework/rebalance certain levels. He’s also setting the stage for the Adventures arc, which will include lore/plot points from Dinosaur Planet. The game is super fun. Unfortunately, due to engine limitations there’s no rail sections, you can’t transform vehicles like in 2/Zero, and you can’t hop in and out of vehicles like in Assault. Luckily the core gameplay is still really good, but those do kind of drag it down. There’s also a few bad/weird story changes here and there (killing off Fara. For the longest time I just assumed that she was some oc that got really popular until I learned she’s from a 90s Nintendo Power comic that almost nobody read). Thankfully those don’t drag down the experience too much. The other is this reimaging of Adventures called Star Fox Remadventures, being made by Esphirian. I’ve talked with the guy in the comments and he has a bunch of cool ideas for the gameplay as story. For one thing Andross is dead and there’s just a military alliance between Scales and his remnants. Krystal is going to be along for the journey and we’ll see her bond with Fox over the course of the game. The Great Fox and it’s crew will play an active role in the conflict. For gameplay it’s going to be like BOTW where there’s a big open world and you can do objectives in any order you want (I’m assuming there will also be some Metroid elements where you’ll need an ability to access certain areas). You’ll be able to swap between Krystal and Fox like in Lego Star Wars and you’ll need their unique abilities to solve certain puzzles (I think that certain enemies will be weak towards a certain character’s abilities so that would also encourage you to swap between then). Fox will play more like Assault, and Krystal will play more like Adventures. In his version Randorn and Sabre are now Krystal’s biological family and blue. The Cerinians are also now native to Sauria/Dinosaur Planet and they’ll have a “special connection” to the Krazoa similar to Bungie’s version of the Forerunners that will explain their powers (in CE Guilty Spark mistakes Chief for a Forerunner implying that an armored human is indistinguishable from a Forerunner. He also calls humans Reclaimers, which means to reclaim something that was once yours. In Ghosts of Onyx the Sentinels speak Latin, which is the language of the Forerunners and the Covenant already understands that because they’ve been dealing with Forerunner tech for so long. Only humans can operate Forerunner tech without first taking it apart and reworking it. In the storyboards for Halo 2 the Ark (later turned into the portal to the Ark in 3) was located in East Africa where modern humans first originated some 100,000 years ago. This just so happens to align with when Forerunners disappeared from the galaxy. In the original Halo 2 ending the “big reveal” would where the Arbiter is taken by Guilty Spark to the Data Vault, which was this room that contained a sarcophagus with a Forerunner skeleton that acted as a holotype for the Ark’s machines to guild development of indigenous life to a desired point. I couldn’t be anymore blatant unless I was outright telling you what Bungie had planned. Gee, I sure do wonder what kind of a crazy revelation will explain why Krystal can interface with Krazoa artifacts and has powers related to them. It truly is a mystery). Scales is also misinterpreting the Krazoa as gods and I’m assuming his plan is to ascend and join them as a divine entity. Unfortunately, there’s no playable builds/demos at this point because it’s so early in development and Esphirian doesn’t want Nintendo to strike it down. You should check out the videos the guy made for it. It’s really cool. Good luck on a potential Turok retrospective, assuming you do that. I unfortunately haven’t played the games because they were before my time and I haven’t gotten around to it. It’s really too bad that series is gone. Those games look like so much fun. I just LOVE the INSANE premise and all the crazy weapons that are super cool but would be horribly inefficient in real life. I wish more games would use Dinosaurs. It’s too bad that we won’t get a neo-Boomer shooter reboot like Doom did. There’s a lot you could do with that setting.

The voice actors noticeably struggling with Panzerese (the made-up language) compared to Japanese is quite noticeable in Panzer Dragoon Saga too, while in the previous games this was delivered completely fine. But this is limited to just the initial and final scenes whereas the other games are fully in Panzerese, a neat explanation of this can be extrapolated from the lore.

Interesting. I know I keep saying it, but I mean it, I really want to jump into Panzer Dragoon Saga. If it wasn't for this nagging thing in the back of my mind that wants to play it on original hardware, yes I'm way too aware of how expensive it is but I want to still, then I would've done it already. Maybe this year will be the year I get over not being able to own it and just play it anyway.

Fun fact haven’t heard the name turok in a long time. But when I was a kid I loved this game (granted I didn’t have many games to dictate what was a good game or not) but it was a fun game to me but now that I’m older I kinda feel the things wrong with it but I still don’t hate it. Flaws are a massive part of games and sometimes they are more noticeable than others. But just because this game was meant to be another doesn’t mean there wasn’t some enjoyment to be had.
@Zerbraxi Жыл бұрын
I never imagined so many people would actually want to see a Turok series retrospective LOL. Agreed with your sentiment. I hope I was still able to point out its strengths while expressing my struggles and frustration.

Good vid, as it stands I don't really have my own opinion on this as I've never played it (need to find a copy to experience it). But I am a big fan of starfox and I'm looking forward to your video on my favorite game in the series. Star Fox Assault
@Zerbraxi Жыл бұрын
If you like playing on original hardware it's thankfully not too expensive to pick up since it sold very well. That, or you can explore the ocean and find the undersea animal Dolphin and play it on one of those :) I'm really excited to jump into Assault because I've not played it in such a long time but I remember playing the multiplayer SOOO much. Probably even more than 64.

I liked the game for what it was. A little disappointed at first but the Zelda clone gameplay was good enough, I ended up finishing the game without being left unsatisfied, so that has to mean something. Absolutely a one-and-done game. I had a harder time at the Test of Fear section. I can only wonder about the thoughts on Star Fox Zero. It was ambitious, perhaps overly ambitious, in my opinion.
@Zerbraxi Жыл бұрын
This time around I failed the Test of Fear maybe 3 times? Definitely harder than strength. We'll definitely get to Zero. I try to be as fair as possible and Zero is just so complicated to talk about so we'll see how that goes.

The game review was quite interesting. Thanks, of course, to Yandex Translator and VPN, but sometimes I felt a bit uncomfortable that you were very much fixated on Legend of Dragoon. I realize it's a childhood thing for you. I'm just interested in the story itself, like why the Star Fox series of games took a wrong turn. I'll keep watching the Assault and Command videos (the first game is fun with a cool concept and a kind of serious attitude, but it's more of a boufonade than anything else. Yeah and the multiplayer in both games is pretty cool. Thanks to emulators for that. And Star Fox Command myself personally passed the full on all endings on his black beautiful DSi). You've touched on both Star Fox Adventures and Dinosaur Planet, which is quite commendable^^.
@Zerbraxi5 ай бұрын
I actually don't think I've ever explained why Legend of Dragoon pops up randomly in my videos. Maybe a video one day will bring it all together. Apologies if it was distracting though. That's worthy feedback. Also shoutout to Yandex Translator! If I was making a little more money from this, one of the first things I want to do is get good translations made into at least the top 5-10 non-english languages that watch my stuff.

It won't be the last time I cover Dinosaur Planet. Looks like all of the content is now accessible from the prototype build, as long as you do things in a very particular way, so that alone will have me return to cover everything there is about the game.
