the game seems to have a wonderful foundation. You can build a lot of things there. If you don't already know, take a look at "Gaslands" and "Cars Wars" there are a lot of good things there for inspiration. create Gangs, customize weapons, cars, drivers with powers, types of races, tracks, vehicles... there are a lot of cool things in these games to take from the base. I want to see this game grow, it has a lot of potential there.

The Game looks interesting and all... but why did you put the guns on those flimsy little sticks? I mean... recoil alone would bend those while shooting... as well as just driving around... make some cool weapon mounts... would really push the immersion

great looking game. the only thing I can say based on the video is it needs more unique types of guns, the crazier, the more unique and the more numerous the better. I've honestly never seen a game where going with more unique weapons was a bad thing with something like this.

I'd like to acknowledge the license plate. I'm glad to see this developer understands that even in a post-apocalyptic wasteland the DMV clearly still exists and requires licensing and registration of vehicles. And I bet the line at the DMV hasn't improved either.

Yeah, definitely Polish game - Maluch (nickname for Fiat 126P) - Polonez - BoreWick with MO (Polish police equivalent in the 80's) paintjob, and Borewicz being name of the main character of cop TV show from 70's and 80's - and probably more :D

Interstate 76 let you snipe drivers through the side window and had pretty nice designed roadways and even some basic car interiors. This game seems to have none of that.

@@adriankoch964 Yeah. It's interesting that it had the option to go first person view and shoot out of the window with a pistol. I remember wishing that it was more focused on that kind of combat instead of the mounted mg's and rocket launchers. But still great game as it was.

I played the barebones alpha when it first released and I am SO excited for this. The core feel of driving and combat is already excellent, I just hope that they eventually add a few more things to break up the gameplay loop. Non-combat races, friendly NPC locations, taxi time trials... fishing? Every RPG is better with a fishing minigame.

The moment the video started I thought of Vigilante 8, but I didn't expect him to mention it. It is such an old game now... I still remember playing split-screen with my brother and next-door-neighbor on the old N64. That and Facility in Goldeneye were how we spent SOOOOOOOO much of our time, at least until we got Super Smash Brothers. I don't even remember her name, but I usually played the girl cop with the blue sports car.

they need to place gangs with attributes like in the skirmish wargame "Gaslands". There's a lot of material in the "car wars" vibe in the gaming world. It's a genre that was abandoned and seems to be slowly coming back. the more games like this, the better.

I remember there was this flash or Java script racing game, it was like rough looking 3d racing and you would basically circuit race but you could use some really mad max looking vehicles, take jumps, and slam into other racers destroying them. This game just invokes that sense of my childhood, when flash games were new and everybody could make something on the internet. I think this game has potential but it needs more customization, more gamemodes, more maps and details perhaps?

Looks very good. My wife and I used to Twisted Metal together way back when. My request would be big roaring engine noises, screeching tires and harsh blasting and crunching in the fights. I love loud!! Definitely will be keeping an eye out for this one.

It's from Polish TV series called '07 zgłoś się' about cop called Borewicz driving a Polonez car. Beetlejook must refer to Polish car Żuk, which means beetle, and is pronounced similarly to jook :D

2:10 its Fiat126. One of silliest car made in communist block, dirty cheap and could be repaired with home appliances, mayor drawback was engine in the back so you need strong legs to compensate for car frame compression in any crash.

I think the Nemesis system was infamously patented by Warner Bros, I don't think that the creator would be able to implement something like that without risking a long legal battle. It's possible but it would be a lenthy court battle trying to prove that his system is different from Warner Bros in some form or fashion, and I think the Dev would want to avoid something like that.

Warner Bros have a patent on the Nemesis system and will go after anything that looks like it in other games, that's why you don't see it in any other games. There will be a version of it in Wonder Woman apparently

Sad thing about the nemesis system is that we will never see something similar to that ever again because the publisher patented the system and now nobody wants to make anything similar to it for fear of getting sued into the dirt.

@@zielisawzielony9366 It shouldn't be allowed, but Warner Bros did get a patent on the nemesis system. So even if someone can make a system that is similar to, but legally distinct from, the nemesis system nobody wants to risk getting dragged into a costly lawsuit by Warner Bros.
