Um, actually, the showrunners for Gotham confirmed that neither Jerome nor Jeremiah are incarnations of the Joker, being referred to as "proto-Jokers", so that "correction" was incorrect and you were right the first time. The showrunners have since refused to clarify whether or not Jeremiah later _becomes_ the Joker, but in the show, itself, he is not. Also, um, actually, in many incarnations of Poison Ivy (in Heroes in Crisis, for example), her DNA is so mutated that she has become almost entirely plant (even being able to regrow herself from a single flower after having been killed in HiC); so, again, you were right the first time.
@ZatannaZataraGrayson2 жыл бұрын
Um actually, a sentient plant is a plant that is given human qualities. Fundamentally they are plants before they are people. Dr. Pamela Isley is a human given plant qualities, so that disqualifies her from being considered a sentient plant. To further consider, the term "sentient plant" implies that the sentience is abnormal for a plant in our understanding; whereas Dr. Isley's sentience comes from originally being a human, which is a naturally sentient creature.
@RabblesTheBinx2 жыл бұрын
@@ZatannaZataraGrayson again, Heroes in Crisis. She literally grew herself back to life from a flower. She's not even a little human, anymore. That's actually a pretty cool idea, but then again, the GoT theme is one of the greatest ever made, and having it be RoC might not have had the same impact (also, it would've made the whole show seem like it was specifically spotlighting the Lannisters). They could've just done what the books did, which was to introduce the song in-world as a common element to familiarize the audiences well with it before the Red Wedding.

I've been watching Um Actually for like three days straight and this episode was really good

The fourth character on Dr. cop esquire was a cop in one of the scary movie sequels. She was the one with the hat brim that kept getting bigger. It’s hard to differentiate which role the actor is playing when all you see is their face.

I mean, if I saw her in that hat, I would definitely know which role it was 😂😂 but of course, that wasn't a TV show anyway

This is my favorite episode of Um, Actually! I always rewatch it after a bad day.

"Wouldn't it be weird if the character sung the theme song?" Remy Zero as guest on Smallville playing themselves as in-universe band: Yeah that would totally be weird.

Honestly a great theme song though

Um Actually, Jimmy Smits played a cop on NYPD Blue. Also, kind of cool the contestants were wearing red, green, and blue for the TV-themed show.

I've never watched TV, save a few short series that I binged in adulthood via streaming services, but these four have such fantastic chemistry and banter that I don't mind not understanding anything lol.

15:52 Um, actually, that's not a backslash. It's a forward slash. You can just say "slash."

Component videos red, green and blue ports do not equal rgb colors. There is a brightness (luminance) and two color difference ports there.

Re: characters referencing the theme song, name, etc. of the show they're in: It usually is fourth-wall-breaking, although it can be pretty cool: Zephram Cochrane saying, "And you people: You're all astronauts... on some kind of... Star Trek?" That's legitimately cool, and it's a question, rather than out-and-out name-dropping the show. It can also be a hint as to a deeper situation, as in WandaVision, where the scenario isn't so much a fourth wall break as a sort of fifth wall, since the situation presents itself as Wanda and Vision being seemingly trapped in some sort of sitcom-based reality or simulation. The characters could plausibly sing the theme song (if the show had one with lyrics) without breaking the fourth wall, since they're being made to conform to the rules and norms of a television show.

That was a forward slash in your brightcellars ad. I got very concerned that I was saying the wrong ones my whole life.

I love when everyone's talking over each other, feels like going out with friends discussing something inane and pretending to care very much about it

Is there anything Joan doesn’t know? I saw her episode for Disney and she killed it there too. She’s awesome.

I completely lost it at the Seinfeld bass beat gag. When Rehka did the mouth pops... Jeezus!
